Vyse: Dad, thankyou for accepting I'm a pirate! Farewell! I'll make you proud
[Vyse maneovours shipp out into sunset sky] [Pink "let's Get the Party Started" strikes up] Skies Of Arcadia; brilliant but with annoying random battles The voice acting in Shenmue 1. Shenmue Director: couldwe try that once more? Tree: What? Did I sound too wooden? [David kicked out of Comic Circle for that one] I loved the crap Chinese old lady in the antique shop; she could barely act, and sounded like she'd spoke through a cheese grater (smoked about 60 fags to get the right raspy quality) then on top of it sounded like someone had grabbed her by her yet to be operated-on balls [World record in sublatives] |

Sonic Adventure 2 was the pinnacle of the series.
Everything else sucks. |

All right, thanks for the heads up. I'm also thinking of getting the sonic mega collection for PS2, just for the sake of having it. I was a total mega drive/ sonic freak when i was a kid so it'd be good to have all of them on one disc. Ah the good old days.... |

I love Shenmue 1 and 2 (I'm currently working on a Shenmue III, made using RPG Maker 2000 - I haven't touched it for months, being at univeristy, but I hope to do some more work on it in the spring). Sure, they have their flaws (waiting around, doing nothing, boring tasks), but when you're making real progress, its very appealing.
Also, Jet Set Radio is one of my favourite all time games - the music, the graphics, the gameplay! Chu Chu Rocket was also fun, House of the Dead 2 and Confidential Mission were alright lightgun games, Headhunter was excellent, Resident Evil CODE: Veronica also very good...I only played a demo of Skies of Arcadia but that was entertaining. And of course, SOUL CALIBUR! "The soul still burns..." |

Up down up down chu! chu! chu!
Space Channel 5 was odd, but fun And I agree with everyone else about Sonic Adventure 2 being better than 1, but.. ugh, the Knuckles zones made me MAD. Pumpkin Hill must DIE! |

I've heard that there is to be a SHenmue III on the X-Box.
It seems that the X-Box controller was partially influenced by the Dreamcasts, at least thats my opinion. I think the thing that really doomed the Dreamcast was twofold. First off was the price, it was bloody expensive when it came out. Secondly, there was hype starting about the forthcoming PS2, and therefore a lot of people decided to stick with their PSX's/N64's/Saturns and wait for the PS2 rather than invest in a Dreamcast. What was the fighting game available on the Dreamcast, there were two of them, and you could pick up pieces of furniture and hit others with them among other things. The second game was widely regarded as inferior to the first. |

I was a big fan of Tokyo Highway Battle 2, Project Justice and king of all games, Soul Calibur. Nothing else really got a look in on my DC. Tech Romancer on occassion.

Powerstone, that was it, great game. I knew it was one that hadn't been on any other format, shame that, can you imagine a PS2 or X-Box Powerstone game.

Did you ever compare Soul Caliber on DC to that on the GC? It held up remarkably well.
If poeple had had a reason to develop for it it oculd have been easily as good as the PS2. |
