The amazingly perfect gig for the DEC with Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson (as well as Jimmy Carr, Johnny Vegas, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard, Derren Brown, Dylan Moran, Jack Dee, League of Gentlemen and other fantastic people) will be rush released on to DVD -- you can pre-order it on amazon here.
Most of it will also be on BBC 1 + 2 on Saturday 26th Feb, and bits of standup on Thursday 24th on Radio 2. Can't wait -- wish I could be there, it's the best line up I've ever seen. |

Sorry if its already been mentioned but i havent seen it if it has.
I believe they are doing something together, highlights of the show are on thursday adn 10 on Radio 2, there was few interviews on radio 2 tonight, simon and jess were both mentioned Grahem Norton said jess said hello to him and he couldnt think who she was, then he remember and ran back because she could be her celebrity friend We wont be able ot see hat they did til the dvd release which has been rushed to march 4th, im so excited... Dylans there too

Well it looks like Simon and Jess were wasted at the show as said in the review on Chortle. you can read the whole review here.
But here is what it said about Simon and Jess. QUOTE A sadly underused Jessica Stephenson and Simon Pegg introduced the next act, Dylan Moran, once they got their savage banter out the way, exchanging increasingly bitter insults until Pegg played the trump insult to silence her for good: ‘According to Bex.’ Moran himself baffled the audience with his wine-glass philosophising. Not that there weren’t funny moments in his bizarre rant about the darkness of an actor’s soul and his perceptive rants against this fundraiser as the apex of middle-class charity (“This is the sacrifice you’re prepared to make – to go to the theatre”); but it didn’t really make a great deal of sense. Moran, you feel, is never going to be a seven-minute act.

I know i love dylan, but i do agree with that he rambles and goes off on tangents and spins whimsy and you need a good hour or so to get the best out of him, but that can be said for other comics...... 7 minutes is just not enough but god bless them all they did their bit for charity!!!!
I just wish it wouldnt take a world disaster to get this sort of support, why cant they do it for AIDs or Breast cancer or Bullying? |
