There are band names on my Guitar Hero memory card:
Zoidberg! (which Mel and I came up with) Melted Fist (which is mine) Moody Negro (which is Adam's) At school I was in these bands: The Khaki Penguins Inspara The Phantoms of Death (which became) The Phantoms (which became) Tyrant's Epitaph (which became) The Tyrants (after I had left) Ah, glory days. |

Imhotep is a good name for a band. Hopefully it will be like the Egyptian era Earth Wind and Fire look as worn by Don Cheadle in Boogie Nights. I live in hope.

I live in hope. If only. But I have a feeling it would be adopted by some generic metal death/dark/goth metal band. |

QUOTE (Sostie @ Aug 10 2007, 06:05 PM) Yeah - probably. They would kill the funk. Apparently there is a french rapper called this, which is acceptable. My idea is better though. Thutmose and Amenhotep are also choices if, Sostie, we were to find this band and make it happen. Thutmose and the Sarcophogus Although Sarcophogus is certainly a good one for the death metal fans. |

QUOTE (Sostie @ Aug 10 2007, 06:21 PM) Or a ship. They have double barrelled names like that. What about a death metal band called Odin's Raven. *makes Daisy Chainsaw style cranking geetar noises* This post has been edited by Serafina_Pekkala: Aug 10 2007, 06:24 PM |

Well there is a Imhotep
http://www.rockdetector.com/artist,46682.sm There is an Odin's Court & an Odin's Forest As for Nordic Volcano. The closest I could find NORDIC BLOOD FRANCE ( Black Metal ) NORDIC MIST USA ( Black Metal ) NORDIC MIST Skövde, SWEDEN ( Metal ) NORDIC NECROPOLIS Tornio, FINLAND ( Death Metal ) NORDIC NETHEREN USA ( Black Metal ) NORDIC TERROR Hannover, GERMANY ( Thrash Metal ) Jesus. The metal scene is so predictable |

QUOTE (Sostie @ Aug 10 2007, 06:28 PM) Isn't it. Nordic Mist sounds like a lovely cruiseship to me. Looks like archaeology and rock (haha) go hand in hand. I thought Tumulus sounded a bit dark and edgy but looks like it's been done more than once. http://www.rockdetector.com/artist,33981.sm This site is great fun, Sost! |

DAMIEN LEE THOR USA ( Heavy Metal ) HORDE THOR COLOMBIA ( Viking Metal ) LEGION OF THOR GERMANY ( Death Metal ) MIGHTY THOR MEXICO ( Heavy Metal ) THOR ARGENTINA ( Heavy Metal ) THOR BRAZIL ( Black Metal ) THOR SPAIN ( Heavy Metal ) THOR Vancouver, BC, CANADA ( Heavy Metal ) THOR THRONE FRANCE ( Black Metal ) THRONE OF THOR Fjellhamar, NORWAY ( Viking Metal ) and of course THOR'S HAMMER Wrocław, POLAND ( Black Metal ) But only 5 with Zeus. CARMINE APPICE'S GUITAR ZEUS Los Angeles, CA, USA ( Guitar Virtuoso ) POWER OF ZEUS USA ZEUS Bolton, LANCASHIRE, UK ( Dark Metal ) ZEUS Cataluņa, SPAIN ( Hard Rock ) ZEUS CZECH REPUBLIC Metallers obviously have no respect for authority, hence the lack of bands featuring the name of the daddy of all gods |

QUOTE (Sostie @ Aug 10 2007, 06:40 PM) Thor is the hardest name known to man but that is taking things to far. What not have 'Thor's Nail' or 'Thor's Workbench' too. QUOTE Zeus, Bolton. Funniest thing I've heard all day. I want Thor Argentina to be an actual person. Anglo-Saxon literature fans would be perhaps interested in this lot: http://www.rockdetector.com/artist,53605.sm Grendel's mother setting fire to the place and all.
