Now call me biased (Everyone: You're biased!) but am I the only one thinking Simon's Kieron the Cat is a criminally wasted character in I Am Not An Animal? Only has 2 episodes but is clearly the most entertaining out of everyone. Fantasically camp, comically vitriolic and beautifully bitchy. Brilliant but wasted. I can't help but notice a theme with Simon's appearences in Steve Coogan's stuff. At least Simon gets to play some bits and pieces in the rest of the series.
And finally had a mystery solved thanks to the commentary. I thought Simon's fake teeth in 50,000 Zombies were very similar to Alex D'Arcy's from Steve Coogan live. Turns out they're the very same ones as they're specially moulded to fit Simon's mouth and he wore them when doing Kieron's voice. The things you learn... Wife Of Rolex |
