Anybody see The Thick Of It last night? It was indeed very good indeed. Never really liked Capaldi but he was fucking ace in this. His evil face at the start was incredible.

Bah. Freeview box inexplicably stopped working so I missed it. Will tune in next week, though, I've heard good reports of it.

listened to 'charm offensive' and thought it was great - they talked about the new star wars for the first five minutes but when i tried to post a link to 'listen again' today they'd taken it off. |

QUOTE (whitey @ May 20 2005, 06:39 PM) Yeah, 3 eps - what's that about? Should be more, for sure, was a quality piece of entertainment. Plus the guy who played 'Ollie' is the guy who was compering at the comedy that me & Jessop went to on Monday. What a dude. |

QUOTE (pots @ May 22 2005, 09:15 PM) Signature altered appropriately. Top 100 Jews was a highlight. I particularly enjoy the feature on the radio player that lets you skip backwards a minute for when my mind's been wandering. This post has been edited by whitey: May 23 2005, 01:02 AM |

Now I'm pissed off because I can't listen to anything as I appear to have done something indescribably painful to my eardrums. |

Went to see this getting recorded last night. Good (and free!) entertainment! He's much shorter etc etc.
Only thing it was lacking was funny guests. Clive Anderson was alright, but Jo Brand's schtick of "I'm fat, and I like eating" is not funny. There was a section where they come up with TV show names, even clive anderson tired of her and suggested "Girl Gets Fat by Eating". Chris Langham's not that great either, but I guess it made Armando's material sparkle even more. Highlight was them shouting "Scab!" at Chris Moyles. |
