QUOTE (maian @ Dec 6 2005, 02:26 PM) It's probably the most charismatic 'talking to camera' that I have ever seen, I'm also quite tempted to see those cameos he did in The Gilmore Girls and Stargate that are on that site. I imagine he's probably best when he's being funny and just talking like in those, most people don't really know how to handle being interviewed, though I haven't had a look at those Letterman things yet. Star Trek - Interesting from a fan point of view but nothing spectacular Gilmore Girls - Surreal but entertaining (Pic quality's better on fgmma than sf.org) Jimmy Kimmel Live is the best interview, it also has Alex on it doing a track from the album. |

Star Trek, that was the one. Silly me. Cool, I'll check out the interviews and see about getting a copy of the album either in a day or so or after the holidays.

When I saw that for the first time I fell off my chair with laughter. The show gets stranger and stranger, but it's always funny. |

It has tempted me to pick up a copy of a B52's 'best of' many times since I first saw Peter's performance, but I can't help but feel that it won't be as good. I also tried to learn it on guitar and it is nigh-on impossible, so kudos to Peter for his skills on guitar.

Well, maybe not my whole arm, but you know what I mean. I did wonder if it was Seth playing too, but that would be overkill - pianos and guitars as well as everything else? I think not. |

I wouldn't be surprised if he can play guitar since a lot of people I know who play piano can play guitar to some degree as well, but that version sounds a little too similar to the actual song for it to have been re-recorded. Though it would have been fun to see him sing it and play it as Peter. |

That's definately not the original backing track. And Peter should have his guitar strung in the B-52s style, but that's just nitpicking.

I noticed that as well, shocking really that they didn't pick up on it. Which one of the B-52s 'Best Of's would you recommend Gav? I know there's a few of them around and I don't want to get shortchanged. |

Well... I've got the best of, Dance This Mess Around, which is great, but doesn't have "Love Shack" like the Time Capsule singles collection does. If you're not bothered by that, go for the best of - it's got some cracking tunes. Or if you want to be flash and break the £20 mark, the anthology, Nude on the Moon, is pretty definitive.

I'm going to bed before I get graphic, but acoustic rock lobster will be running through my brain as I hit the hay, only now it's changed to the FCC song complete with montage shots. This clearly means bed. Ah, I just remembered. FG and AD next Sunday, BBC2 and FG the following week Mon-fri at something ridiculous like 12am. |
