me and my friend have been arguing for a while now so we thought we'd put it down to public vote. I personally think that Futurama is loads better then The Simpsons.

Oh, tough one...I'd have to say the Simpsons. Although Futurama is amazingly brilliant, the Simpsons is just so...i don't know, great. There aren't words adequate to say what the Simpsons is. It is the benchmark for all animated shows. Without it, there's be no Futurama, South Park, Family Guy or any of the other shows. Plus it has some of the best written and funniest moments ever committed to television.
The Simpsons embiggens us all with it's sheer cromulence. |

The Simpsons has been very bad for years but because the show has done so much and covered so much it must be hard to take it to new places. I'm sure the same would happen had Futurama been allowed to continue as long. In one way I'm glad Futurama ended because there is nothing worse than a favourite being flogged to death and eventually ruined (see also: Only Fools and Horses). |
