Also, most people I know of from the East Midlands have northern vowel sounds, so that may be why he said a 'northern' accent.

It's the ones with the northern bowel sounds that you have to watch out for.

i thought that, but didn't want to be seen being pedantic to the frost.

I'm sure he can take it - and I didn't point out any of the other grammatical errors in his email. wink.gif

Besides, it's only fair to Kris Marshall - after all, would you like to be confused with the actor who played 'Skinhead' in Blues Brothers 2000?

Just like to point out that we [people from Northampton, like myself] don't speak with a Northen accent, as we are in the south [East Anglia], and are now, part of greater London, according to some of the local papers.

Well, just because it was shot in Northampton doesn't mean it was set there.

But it is you see, as the Kinky Boots Factory, is/was a shoe and boots factory in Northampton, that became famous for one way or another for making, kinky boots. That's what the film is about, this factory in Northampton. They filmed a lot of it behind my local pub. happy.gif

Just because it's set in Norhampton doesn't mean the character is originally from there.

You really shouldn't worry so much about his spelling.

He's already pointed out to me that he's shit at it, so I don't care so much about it. He doesn't use the internet much as it is, as he's also said.

The point I was making is that Nick said he was filming in Northampton, and using a Northen accent and I was just pointing out that people who are born and bread in Northampton, don't have Northen accents, we speack cockney, or as my mate says, mockney.

And he apparently doesn't have much time for people that do, or so I've heard.

QUOTE
At the moment i'm doing a sitcom pilot for ITV over here with a guy called Chris Marshall who you may have seen in a show called 'My Family' he's very nice, we will be shooting this in the next two or so weeks, i'm also writing in and starring in a Sketch show for the BBC which begins shooting in July. Should be good.

Hamilton Hodell updated Nick's page with the following items:

MAN STROKE WOMAN (Various characters) d: Rick Cantor, TalkBack Productions/BBC
SINGLED OUT pilot (Martin) d: David Kerr, Hattrick Productions/ITV

And then there's this:

GREENWING 2 d: Tristram Shapiro, TalkBack Productions/C4
