We have been kindly been sent a few exclusive pictures of the comic by the editor, Chris Ryall. Also Chris has told us that there will be 4 issues in total and that Simon and Edgar may (not yet confirmed) be doing a signing/promo at this years San Diego Comicon.
![]() ![]() ![]() As far as a UK release is concerned, it looks like Titan Publishing will be picking up the rights to the comic. When I contacted them, this is what they had to say; QUOTE (Titan) Hi, Baz I'm afraid that the deal regarding SHAUN OF THE DEAD is still being worked out, so as such, I'm not in a position to give you any further information at the moment; however, as soon as I am able, I'll send through full details of release and pricing, etc. Looks like us Brits will just have to wait. |

I don't like the art.
And thanks rebelstar. The yank issues of all of IDW's comics are freely available in specialist comic shops in this country from the slightly rubbish national giant Forbidden Planet through the excellent and slightly smaller chain Travelling Man right down to tiny but brilliant independant shops such as David's Comics in Brighton (in the lanes) or Worlds Apart in Liverpool (Lime Street). They'll probably be in on whichever is the first day your local shop gets their deliveries after the official publishing date (usually a Wednesday or a Thursday in my experience). If you don't know where your nearest comic shop is ask on here, I'm sure one of us geeks will be able to help you out. This post has been edited by whitey: Jun 15 2005, 01:29 AM |

Slightly off topic but is there still a Forbidden Planet in Brighton?
Haven't been over there for years so I don't know if it's still going! |

Wasn't when I was there (couple of years ago). You wouldn't need one with that David's Comics though. Still the best selection of any comic shop I've ever seen and all in a tiny shop. |

For all your comic needs, search for shaun of the dead, also land of the dead comic is coming out, wonder if they will make a cartoon zombie cameo in that ha! |

QUOTE (A-Friend @ Jun 14 2005, 09:36 AM) would you not be better off subscribing yourself and then having them sent to a trustworthy friend/family memeber to hold on to for you? I've not followed the link, but i presume the subscription option means you will receive them by post? Try explaining someone who doesn't own comics what bagging and boarding is... they will look at you and say: WHY? |

OK, it's out in the US? How about Canada? I'm guessing yes but not a 100% sure.

QUOTE (Mini Frankenstein @ Jun 21 2005, 01:24 AM) I reckon it's the same deal as over here. Pretty much every comic shop has to order their comics direct. Have a look at some of your old issues. If they have 'direct sales' 'direct edition' or just plain old 'direct' written by the barcode then they came straight from the publisher. |
