I went to the recording last night.. it was hilarious!

Peter was SOOOOO lovely. He waved at me!

I might give it another try then - I watched the first or second one and, as much as I tried to tune Carr out, I just couldn't.

pete was very funny, very surreal

talked about not understanding banks, which could have gone nowhere but he pulled it off

came across as quite confused and disorientated most of the time

seems very cool

If by "pulled it off" you mean "fumbled embarrassingly whilst his fellow contestants looked on as if at some sort of horrendous comedic car crash", then I'd agree with you!


He's obviously a nice guy, though, so you can forgive him virtually anything.

That's very much a Pete trait. Stumbling humour but so childlike with it people let him carry on.

I've said similar to this elsewhere (when he was on HIGNFY), that he's a man of contradiction. In SotD and Spaced he plays Pete and Duane with such a confident command that you kind of have to adjust your mind to remember that Peter himself is actually very shy and constantly bewildered and amazed by things.

At the end... Jimmy Carr asked Peter how he thought it went, and Peter replied "I found it so nerve-racking, I was terrified!"

Funnily enough, I think I may have seen him at the side of The Other Stage for a moment bobbing his head to Ian Brown when he was on. Though I may be wrong.

I wish I'd known about it before, ah well better late than never eh?!

Welcome Janwolf. I have recently realised after purchasing Big Train that I quite fancy Pete's brother. What are your thoughts on this?

They mention it on the SOTD commentary, you kind of assumed it was a joke but Pete is thick, it's in a funny way, but he's definatley thick.
