Which TV shows, against your better judgement, do you always end up watching/enjoying.

TOP GEAR

I shouldn't like this - it has Jeremy Clarkson, I'm not a petrol head, it has obviously scripted "spontaneous banter". But I always go out of my way to watch it!
Svein
Hmmmm... Probably the Heaven and Earth Show...

Something i'm also guilty of..... Also Coronation Street is a big favorite of mine I never miss an episode if. I even talk about it as if it's real. I am aware this is very sad.....

I would agree with this.....Hollyoaks on a sunday morning in bed with a bacon sarnie has become a normal routine....

Saturday morning kitchen is even less cool, but I adore it!

Oddly, the ONLY TV show I actually watch at all these days is Eastenders. I love it although I generally hate all the people on it.

Worall Thompson is a little bearded twat, but there's something so positive an entertaining about the show. It makes me want to leap out of bed and be the next fat-tongued pseudo-cockney TV chef-faced boy.

I know! Its so embarassing....I get inspired Nigella moments....we end up spending lots of money going shopping for pork fillet and asparagus and then become so disappointed when it doesnt turn out the same as it did on the tele....

Life is hard sometimes....

Nip/Tuck. I know, I know it's "critically acclaimed" and all that....but Christ, I feel dirty after I watch it.

Property Ladder. In fact, anything with Sarah Beeny - I love that woman. She has the most condescending tone of voice of anybody ever and she knows exactly how to use it...."I think they're making a very big mistake..."

Ha! I'm not even a little bit ashamed - she was a hero in my house at uni. She made a whole street paint their houses green on her new show the other week - and it looked horrible! Ah, the Beeny rocks.

Oh, and I too like Top Gear.

My list includes:

Top Gear
Extreme Makeover (and the Home Edition)
Will & Grace
Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (and UK version)
King of Queens
Dragonball Z
Pimp My Ride (both editions)

King Of Queens is quality.

It gives hope to fat blokes every where. Also, Kevin James is a comedy god.

Well, we don't have cable and I'm never in in the evenings, but back in the UK I used to love watching the following:

Saturday Kitchen
Queer Eye and Queer Eye UK
Extreme Makeover (and the Home Edition one)

Now all I've got is Judge Judy and Texas Justice. I want cable!

shuddup i was always under the impression that it was like jackass, having only seen one episode
Downsy
I was never a fan of Viva La Bam, I kinda went off how he was actually quite cruel to his family. I know it was for a show but still I found it quite uncomfortable.

In a similar line, one of my guilty secrets is watching Dirty Sanchez, absolute stupidity. Saw them in Camden last year as they were filming their Christmas specials, Pancho is very small in real life.
thirtyhelens
I tried watching Dirty Sanchez - oddly enough, retitled Team Sanchez here in the States, I can't imagine why </sarcasm> - and it just didn't click for me. Too much pain, not enough humor. *shrug* The stinging nettles bit was rather entertaining, though. (OUCH.)

Was never a huge fan of Viva La Bam, either. I do like Wild Boyz, though, which is Chris Pontius and Steve-O travelling the world basically pulling the same shit they do on Jackass.... but with the natives. Guilty pleasure for sure. (They were always my favorites, though. I could watch Pontius do that gag where he strips off to the silver g-string and humps strange males in the street for hours. Don't ask why.)

Oh, that's why I love Dirty Sanchez - much pain, less mugging for the camera. Plus, you get to spot Cardiff locations. I laughed till I was nauseous at the salt-and-vinegar-arse sketch.

Henry Krinkle
Not really a current show, but I always liked the 90's BBC s(h)itcom Chalke. It was about a Basil Fawlty-esque head teacher called Eric Slat, who got into all kinds of scrapes on account of him being so Basil Fawlty-esque.

Also, I believe I will be the only one who will say "I don't think Joey is too bad". I think it could benefit from a cumudgeonly authority figure character to shout "Joey!" whenever said Joey does anything wrong though. Also, it could use an exclamation mark in the title (making it "Joey!" - Do you see?)

Wasn't much taken by the 1st season, but the second was fantastic. The advantage it has over Jackass (apart from being a little more extreme) is that you only have 4 people in it...you get to know their little areas expertise, rivalries and their characters a lot better than on Jackass.
