You beat me to the punch smile.gif

A song to think of to remove that dreadful one stuck in your head

Family Ness
McTout blows on his bagpipes,
whilst Elspeth & Angus watch those notes go floating across the Waves.
Ferocious-Ness appears at once, and grabs a note or two for lunch,
And the whole of the Family Ness is not too far behind

I was just away posting on your thread to say you went and found a tune and that you should have the thread, when I hit post it said files are missing, may have been moved, deleted etc.

Sorry man, I did think your thread was more professional, mp3's and everything!

Alternatively there is the tour de force thet is the Flash Gordon theme tune. A classic. Used to know all the words for each character when I was a kid, can only remember the Mandrake bit now,

Master of magic, spells and illusion, enemies crumble in fear and confusion..... MANDRAKE!

One of my friends once told me that the song to get any song out of your head is that one that goes:

tay, tay, tay, tay, ta-ta-ta-ta-ta tay, tay, take or leave us etc.

A quick search brings up this page. Anyway. That song. Plus, it doesn't stick in your head after you've sung it to yourself.

Other than that, 'Pure Imagination' from Willy Wonka is a great song to have in your head.

Are you talking about the Defenders Of The Earth theme tune (as in the cartoon series from Going Live)? I can remember the tune, and the exact words you have said, but nothing else.

I have found that humming the theme tune from Back To The Future can sometimes chase away the tunes in your head.

Defenders of the Earth that's the one! Was hoping that my blagging would hide the fact I couldn't remember the name of said show, it did have Flash Gordon in it though didn't it? I haven't killed that many brain cells with my wine addiction....

'Respectable' by the mighty Mel and Kim is a hella good song, but it always makes me sad to think Mel died so young and after only one album.

Yesterday in a shop me and my sister heard some really irritating song (may have been the new Girls Aloud one) so we both started 'singing' the Sanford and Son theme tune, blew every other song clear out of our minds

Mwah mwah mwah mwah-ner, mwah mwah mmwah wah wah wha whoa...

Whenever I try to sing that, all I can think of is the Family Guy parody.

Wait til you hear some of Peter's covers in Season 4. Two words= fried gold
kateykinz
singing this has made my Friday:

Dashing and daring,
Courageous and caring,
Faithful and friendly,
With stories to share.
All through the forest,
They sing out in chorus,
Marching along,
As their song fills the air.

CHORUS:
Gummi Bears!!
Bouncing here and there and everywhere.
High adventure that's beyond compare.
They are the Gummi Bears.

Magic and mystery,
Are part of their history,
Along with the secret,
Of gummiberry juice.
Their legend is growing,
They take pride in knowing,
They'll fight for what's right,
In whatever they do.

CHORUS:
Gummi Bears!!
Bouncing here and there and everywhere.
High adventure that's beyond compare.
They are the Gummi Bears.
They are the Gummi Bears!!

what about

One for all and all for one,
Muskehounds are alwats ready,
One for all and all for one,
Helping everybody,

One for all and all for one,
It's a pretty story,
Sharing everything is fun,
Thats the way to be.

One for all and all for one,
Muskehounds are already steady,
One for all and all for one,
Helping everybody,

One for all and all for one,
Can sound pretty corny,
If you've got a problem, chum,
Think how it could be.

Chorus
(da da da, da da da)
They cross their hearts and pray,
(da da da, da da da)
They cross their swords night ending,
(da da da, da da da)
They drink a beer and swear they're faithful to their king,
(da da da, da da da)
No matter what you say,
(da da da, da da da)
They're never far away,
(da da da, da da da)
They're always ready to fight or to sing.
