Me too.
I HATE EMO, and all it stands for. They`re not even that sad, anyway. Joy Division, now they were sad and despairing. The EMO lot, they`re just whiny.
Damn straight. I'm a glasses-wearing, long haired, Joy Division fan. I've never pretended I was interesting because of my sadness, though - it's not something to be celebrated or aspired to. I wear black and have long hair because that's how I like it, not because all the cool kids do (none of them'd ever pay as little attention as I do to their appearance, anyway). [Hah - "I'm more individual than them" South Park goths, anyone? Heehee...]
Fact is, I've been a sad little monkey for most of my life, and I've never fitted in with anyone, which is what emokids try to emulate. It never made me want to look like a tosser. On purpose, anyway.
Psuedo-intellectual, attention-seeking, fashion victim pricks the lot of them. I'm sick of emokids. They're like uninteresting and unamusing goths. They're one of the few trend followers that really piss me off. A lot.
