well after reading all about emo's it got me to wondering.
Over my few years of living there have been many styles i thought it would be interesting on a sunday night to list them all well the ones i can remember and this could lead to mocking them here it goes from as far back as i can remember not very long...
Indie music was in cant quite remember the clothing for this but it was there
next up was Sk8er always spelt with 8 good old avril
Following this was the pop punk years Blink and many other,
This is when im not sure i think it was nu metal for a few years then into
GOTH well the poser ones who would be goth according to the weather
and now into present day the EMOS
What could be the next scene to be in?

Remember some people were and are still true to the genres but there are some people who have been all of these.

As a child I was living the eighties dream, side ponytails, high tops with the tongues pulled out, neon, cycle shorts, big puffy skirts.

1991 was a transitional period where I was confused and owned a Levellers T-shirt.

1992, grunge hit me like a tonne of bricks and I could mostly be found in charity shop jeans, bootleg Nirvana t-shirts lumberjack shirts, and Cons or little floral dresses and Dr Martins. I even had a bob with a slight undercut.

1994-1997 was mostly 'indie' with a touch of skater (Cahartt, Adidas, DCs).

Sixth form was high street/skater minus skateboard chic in the day and knee high boots, net tops and mini skirts at night - FUN!

Since university I suppose I've pretty much just dressed how I like, I wouldn't say I belonged to any particular fashion group these days, but if I was forced to pigeon hole myself I'd go with 'Preppy'.

One thing has remained constant - I am such the poser.

I dunno, Machine Head and Max Cavalera fell victim to nu-metal. At least Machine Head repented a bit though.

The only scenes I ever embraced fashion wise were hip hop & acid house - my friend confused the two by wearing his flowery blouse and dungarees to a Public Enemy gig, the fool - Chuck D chose that night to speak out against acid house, especially the drugs, and we got stared at a lot.

I'm showing my age again, aren't I?
