I think Franz Ferdinand and The Killers are excellent newcomers. Th new Franz album is great and I can't wait for the new Killers albums/singles!!

Only one of my two points re Killers/Franz is an opinion. And in that I didn't say they're not good pop bands, they're just not excellent.

We Are Scientists are a great newish band. Some really good songs under their belt and great live. Plus the bass player looks like Napoleon Dynamite, crossed with his brother (now that's a disturbing image)

One of their members died of an overdose in 99 IIRC, everyone else are now doing their own thing now. The last track they released was Rage back in 2000...be cool for them to reform.

Eh, we all have our own opinions, no? So they aren't new, but I myself find them excellent...and a few others out there like em' too. But what I'm saying by the 'newcomers' is that newies to me last from last year and the end of this year...that's makes me weirder than I already am...

They are fairly new, say compared to Elvis Presley, but they are surprising, well i mainly think about the Killers that they seemed to be big so quickly. Almost that Brendon Flowers sucked cock to get where he was.
