Hello all, I gather that there are some fans on the board so I'm going to take this chance to chat to some people who have actually heard of the band.
Anyone know if there are any live performances coming up in the UK?
Fav album/songs?
How did you find out about the band?
Injektilo
Only got Osc-Dis. Didn't really fancy what I heard of the new material though...

Chaos Step is bloody mental. Also, the Street Fighter II manga DVD uses loads of of MCM stuff!
Blind I/O
I've just been trying to remember how I found them. I think I read about them somewhere, or heard something from Osc-Dis somewhere. I remember having Osc-Dis before I'd seen the Pulse video, which was when most people I knew started knowing who they were... "Tribe" is still one of the best album intro tracks ever.

I'd recommend 010, Inj. "Can of This" is a choon.

As for live dates, the site doesn't have anything.

MCM are ok,only heard their first album (was that osc-dis?). like a more coherent version of atari teenage riot! Honestly! I know they sample some of ATR's beats on their first cd.

Osc-Dis was their ninth album. Hence why the next has its name, 010.

I love the Mad Capsule Markets - a mate recommended them to me about two summers ago. I bought OSC-DIS and 010 when I got home and both are brilliant - although 010 is the better album of the two IMHO. I finally got to see them at the Islington Academy last year, and they were absolutely mind-blowing. Best live show I caught all year (the mosh pit was nearly the entire dance floor). If you get the chance to catch them live, I seriously suggest going.

I remember playing Tony Hawk 3 and hearing Pulse for the first time. Looked in the manual to see who sang is and went out and got 010. I played it to a friend, he became obsessed with them and bought every album, saving me a pretty penny.
The most recent album is pretty cool, although not as good as the old stuff. The band has really changed since their first album. They started out with some proper punk stuff on Humanity and POP which kick serious ass. Check out Mixism if you get the chance, as the sound of the album is different to anything I've ever heard before. It doesn't really fit a genre.
"Can of this" is indeed a great song. Always puts a smile on my face. Its harsh how you cant even sing about canabis in Japan.
My advice to those who dont really know the band that well is to get the live cd/dvd. It is without a doubt the greatest live show I've ever seen. They actually play better live, which is a rare thing indeed.

What, where, when?

I picked it up from HMV on oxford street, but i think you can get it from the DHR online store, heres what they had to say about it:

30 videos on this motherf***er here!!!! The ultimate collection of DHR videos! All Atari Teenage Riot videos & friends!!! The famous riot footage when ATR played the demonstration! Very rare footage of ATR playing tracks from The Future Of War!!! Shizuo's amazing Sweat video! The filthy Lolita Storm short movie! (2 songs in one video) ATR's 'Too Dead For Me' directed by John Hillcoat. All the best from Philipp Virus!!! (His Revolution Action live at QEH for John Peel's birthday party is the best in terms of getting across what ATR and DHR is about!) He also did the overkill noise video for Nic Endo's White Heat which is a must see!!! Also all Hanin Elias videos are on here!!!! And so on... this is value for money

And would also reccomend anyone already into/looking into alec empires solo stuff to check out generation starwars, amazing! Much better than his latest CD which i thought was pants in comparison to his older solo stuff.
