the hardest part of the shaun costume is the tie, imo. the one i'm wearing is from the hotel's gift shop which i had to buy since i left my other one at home and didnt want to drive 2 hours round trip to get it
where did you get the cricket bat, freege? your costume looks great

Hey, new to the board... Just thought I'd post my attempt at a shaun costume... Fancy dress party for one of my friends and i was going as a zombie but decided for something a little more worthy?
I cycled round my hometown for hours to fund a cricket bat!

It's good to know im not the only one!

I do love seeing other Shaun costumes! There seem to be more and more popping up everyday!
I agree that the tie seems to be the hardest piece to come by. I found mine by accident at a Wal-Mart. The brand of the tie is George and it looks to me like the closest thing I'm gonna get to the actual tie.
I almost dyed my hair for the costume, but I chickened out at the last minute. I'm impressed at your willingness to go that extra mile!
Here's a couple shots of my Shaun:
Trying to blend in...

It's not working.

Yeah, I made it out of a 2'X6'. I was trying to replicate the look on the movie poster. The bat on it looks huge!
Those zombies were very cool. Great fun to hang out with when I wasn't running scared from them.

Hi
Im planning on trying to go dressed as Shaun to a Halloween party shortly.
Does anyone have any tips on the best ways to make a replica Foree Electric badge?
Do key cutting places make badges like that, or did I dream it?
I have a plain red tie which will do, although if anyone has spotted a more accurate one which would be easy to get in the UK in the next week I'd be happy to hear about it.

Ohblee that costume is awesome, I saw those pics after dragon con and have been looking for the person that did it just to applaud their efforts. Besides that to answer some questions,
I got my cricket bat off ebay all i did to it was removed the designs on it, varnished it, changed the handle color and added a mix of corn syrup and food coloring for the blood.
djg123- I just bought a Shaun nametag off a guy on the replica prop forum his name is Great_Bizzaro if u want to look him up.
Oh and thatnks for the compliments by the way

Thanks, Freege! I appreciate it. Man is it a fun costume to run around in. There sure were a lot of undead at Dragon*Con this year. It's a good thing there were 4 Shauns running around.
Here's another shot with an alternate form of defense:
Yes, that's the Batman soundtrack.

And for anybody looking for a Shaun tag, I got this from the Shaun website:
http://ohblee.com/postpics/Shauntag2.pdfI just printed it out on photo paper, double-sided taped it to a plastic backing and put a pin on it. Works great and if I lose it I can always make another. I've gone through a few.
Great Shaun costumes everybody! Keep 'em coming. Great Liz, too!
Now we need some Ed's!!

Apologies for hijacking the thread but this is sort of related. Me, my girlfriend and two more friends went to a party as zombies, there's pictures and a video at the following thread:

Good job with the gore effects, Stix. It's all truth about what they say: girls 'are' hot in zombie makeup!

Anyways, thanx for the compliments guys. We were still pretty upset about not being able to find Ed's ringtone from the movie to complete the whole ensemble, but maybe next year. It'll be everyone next year: Shaun, Ed, Liz, Mum, etc. Gonna be fun.

I didn't create this name tag, and I can't remember where I got it from. Somewhere off the internet.
But, whoever did make it ...erm... well done! Or something!
