In an hours time I shall be in my local theatre waiting for Ardal O'Hanlon to appear on stage and entertain me. I went to see him on one of his last tours (2001 I think it was) and he was hilarious. I was also miffed when they didn't release his video on DVD format - my VHS copy died due to too frequent watching.

Is anyone else a fan? (Not counting his TV appearances other than in Father Ted)
feck off!

Can't say i've seen him other than in father ted(where he was good) and that show where he was a superhero. Even he couldn't turn that one around.

I love Ardal O'hanlon!! He's such a funny guy! biggrin.gif

I've only seen his stand up on the comic aid thing but I thought that was good!
I hope you had a good time!

That was awesome. I actually cried with laughter, something I haven't done for months!

Now watching the Diwali fireworks over the Leicester rooftops, whilst munching a toasted ham sandwich. Mmm.

He's fantastic! I loved My Hero and Robbie The Reindeer, excellent jobs

The new sitcom he stars in, Blessed, is quite useless though. He was good in Father Ted and Comic Aid. I haven't really seen anything else that he has done.

Blessed is horrible. Ben Elton really can't write comedy these days. If he was a new writer none of his shows would probably get commissioned, let alone get a primetime slot on BBc1.

I've been bought a ticket for his gig in Peterborough, thanks to a swift-thinking pal. Looking forward to that.

You'll love it - his support is quite good as well, Australian woman whose name I can't remember.

His stand up shows are fantastic (makes sense seeing as he's been doing it since he was a teenager). Father Ted is fantastic - the first TV show that I saw (before Spaced) that made me laugh out out loud no matter how many times I saw any one episode. My Hero is occasionally chucklesome, but literally only becasue of Ardal - the script and everything else is pitiful. I'm not going into anything else - it's not worth my typing.

Don't apologise Stinketta. It's nice that someone cares. Sorry for snapping.
