Empire reports Simon Pegg is up for another movie, co-starring alongside David Schwimmer:
http://www.empireonline.co.uk/news/story.asp?NID=17433QUOTE
Yes, it’s the comedy pairing we’ve all been waiting for: David Schwimmer and Shaun Of The Dead starring together.
Simon Pegg has joined Schwimmer in the cast of Big Nothing, which will be directed by Jean-Baptiste Andrea.
Schwimmer plays a frustrated, unemployed teacher who tries to get revenge on life by joining forces with a con man and his ambitious girlfriend in a blackmailing scheme. Hilarity, as you might expect, is planned to ensue.

I am never going to see any of this stuff! Or anything similar! Everything I would know from Pegg would be Shaun and the LotD-Cameo if the autorithies would be in charge!

I think there is a very good chance that this one will be very good. However I would need to get used to Simon's accent. I do think it's good (way better than Orlando Bloom's from the clips of Elizabethtown I saw) but I've only heard his british accent so it just sounds weird to me.

He's got a good american accent in Band Of Brothers if you want to prepare yourself. He only has a couple of lines but if I didn't know better I'd swear he was a real yankee.

Click the Coming Soon tag at the top and then BIG Nothing on the menu to the left when it comes up. I think you need the latest version of Flash to see it.

I couldn't see it either - I had a look on my friend's computer at it's on a navigation bar right at the top that didn't show up on mine... there's something odd about that website.

I think Simon got the accent mostly right. You can tell he struggles with a few words and phrases like "put," "monitor," "plan," "no turning back." It'll definitely play better with people who haven't heard him speak in his natural accent. They should have allowed him an East Coast dialect so he could soften his Rs a little. The American accents don't lend themselves well to the sort of musical ups and downs of a British accent; they're much flatter. Isn't it strange how people tend to change their pitch when speaking in a different accent?

Very true - when I do an American accent, I tend to make the pitch of my voice higher as, for some reason, that makes it much easier to flatten the melody of the accent.

Red pill; blue pill. hehehee!
Yeah, not only does Simon have the Yankee accent, but his voice is deeper.
Almost as deep as when Tim's imitating Dwayne's voice in
Spaced. Love it.
Whenever I do an American accent, I always make it sound kind of nasal. Dunno
why.
Well, I hope we don't have to wait too long for this movie in Australia. It'd be good

Um, someone posted it in one of the Hot Fuzz threads a while back. They actually
got it from some other site that had the release dates for US, UK & Australia. It'll
be released in Feb in US & UK, & mid-March in Australia. Hope that helps.

The R's are where the trouble usually happens; sometimes Brits tend to hit them too hard. (Tim Roth did it a couple of times in
Reservoir Dogs, but he got better.) And yeah, it's much harder to mask when it's a neutral, flat dialect; it seems as though Eastern and Southern accents are easier for foreigners because they have more to hang their vowels off of. (And sometimes their R's are gentler, as well. Or nonexistent. Heh.)

Looks good. Granted, Simon's accent is a little patchy here and there (that might be made more obvious next to the native David) but it's not too shabby.
My dad won a free Odeon ticket at the workies on Saturday, which is valid from the 1st December onwards, so I'll have a good use for it.
