Keaton is legend as batman but he comes second to Bale.
Feel free to vote on the batman you think is best, unless its Clooney.
Damn you Clooney.

I can't hear his name without thinking that, either

Shortly followed by a wonderful clip from Channel4, when they showed his gut hanging over his utility belt. Genius.
ED: Oh, Bale. Why not?

Bale - a contraversial choice but all the rest are pants (Except Keaton=OK) until someone better comes along Bale could be kicked to the back of the cupboard at some point.

Impossible to judge without taking the actual films into acount. West was my first, Keaton was a surprise, Clooney & Kilmer were stuck in bad films and Bale was the Batman I wanted to see after all the other had a go.
Its between West & Bale.

I've gone for Bale, but i wasn't adverse to Keaton because he played him like such a cypher, like he'd pushed all the stuff that'd happpened to him deep down in side and covered it with gauche playboy and crime fighting machine by day and night respectively... I guess it is really just the film you end up judging, but Bale was excellent in his role.

Bale is a great actor, but is he a great Batman? Just think about what he does to "disguise" his voice. Nah!
Keaton was at his best as Batman and Batman was at his best with Keaton/Burton. So my voice goes to Keat.

Keaton for me, Bale close second.
West, he should keep to policing the beaches of Hawai

Hmm, that's actually a tough one - Bale is definitely in the best Batman film, but Keaton is very compelling too. He played the tortured side of Bruce Wayne very well, and was a slick, cool Batman. Oh, I'll have to say Bale, but his role required a very different kind of acting, so it's difficult to compare them.

Bale, admittedly his Batman voice wasn't great, but he really did encapsulate the various sides of the character fantastically. Keaton was a really close second though.

"Someone keeps stealing all my water!"
Edit: oh yeah, I voted for Keaton. He was indeed a surprising choice for that Crusader in t' Cape, and I very much enjoyed his repressed-inner-demons reading of Bruce Wayne. Christian Bale's brilliantly menacing Batman though rates him a very, very close second to Mr K.

K-K-Keaton.
Then Bale. Though he did play Batman as quite a simple fellow and his Batman voice makes him sound as if he's about sixty.

Keaton is THE Batman I like best, but I`ll always have a soft spot for Mr West. He`s the Mayor of Quahog, after all.
