The first bit of a british sitcom, that I was fortune to get a hold of was a tape of "Fawlty Towers", which a friend of my parents brought one day (probably around `87 or `89...).

Of course I donīt remember what that episode(s) was (were) about, but I definately remember that I found it quite funny.

I forgot about FT, `cause I only saw it on that tape, couldnīt understand much of it and it wasnīt shown on german tv, as far as I remember.

And until SotD, I never paid attention to any british sitcom.

Then I discovered SPACED............

We have a sitcom around here called Stromberg, which is kind of a remake of the office.

When I found out about the office, I immediately ordered the DVD (both seasons & the christmas specials), and I love it!

OK, itīs mostly the same as Stromberg, but a lot more character-based and a bit more realistic.

Now I need to know a little bit more about british sitcoms, that are available on DVD (and only those, please! (I couldnīt stand knowing about a hilarious sitcom, but not being able to get it...))

amazon.de has a DVD-package called The Complete Fawlty Towers, which has both seasons and a bonus-disc, and I already plan to buy that one, but you sure know of some more which I might like.

And does anyone of you know of a message board for the office, `cause the bbc-page doesnīt have one, and I really would like to join some discussions.
