Hello all,

thought you might be interested to know that as part of NECA's Cult Classics line they will be producing a Shaun figure in wave 4 along with Elvis from Bubba Ho-Tep!!!
Baz
Do you have a link to this news at all?
Sir_Robin_the_brave
It's on this page, but no image as yet.
monkey astronaut
apparently its on show at NECA stand at the UK Toyfair......alas no photography is permitted. Keep checking NECA home page for pictures.

Shaun action figure news

Its also confirmed on NECA myspace page
zeden
Liking the look of the Bubba Ho Tep Elvis figure myself. Might have to buy me one of them.
rabbit57i
Oh goodness. That Dawn of the Dead one is too much! wub.gif
monkey astronaut
Its all good........I've seen pics of the Freddie Mecury and John Lennon figure they plan to release and they both looked pretty perfect. They also plan on doing Kurt Cobain.

Zombie Flyboy does look good.....rumour has it they are gonna do Peter and Roger as well......

I think we should start a campaigning for an Ed figure!!!

Well, they better have all four. Oh, I could give it to them as a present. hmmmm.
monkey astronaut
Francine!!! Gotta have Francine.....maybe have in a diorama with the hari krishna zombie smile.gif
Kick in the Head
NECA make some pretty amazing figures. I love the Resident Evil 4 ones myself...but the Dawn of the Dead ones are amazingly crafted too.
Henry Krinkle
They can't stop at Shaun though. We need an Ed, a Zombie Ed, and a Zombie Philip at least.

And a Winchester Diorama too.
Hellasweet
When I was a kid I dreamed of having action figures as cool as those. Now that I'm older and they do make figures like that, I buy like all of them, I guess I am making up for when I was a kid and having to play with those lame ass ones they made back in the 80s.

But I cant wait to buy them all! ohmy.gif

Wow, who ever made that has evidently never seen a real cricket bat, look at the handle!
spacegurl
I don't like it.
empathy-with-beast
It doesn't really capture the feel of the movie does it?
whitey
It will inevitably lose (gain) something when it hits mass production, I didn't like the two-ups of the Kill Bill figures NECA did but saw them on shelves and changed my mind.
Henry Krinkle
It's alright, aside from the bat (as already mentioned), the beard, and the oddly pixie-like trousers and shoes.
Nice job on the name badge though.
freege
I like the looks of it except for the ridiculous cricket bat handle
GundamGuy_UK
It's very detailed and all, but it doesn't really look right somehow, and it looks too serious. I'll probably still get it though. The stand is ace.

And the handle...
Jessopjessopjessop
Looks nothing like him.
Ohio_is_for_lovers
Hmmmm, i do like the stand, im just not sure, ill have to see about it. The face isnt that great mind, im currently not feeling it.
Amazongirl
Nice detail on the records (wants)
Hellasweet
I still havent seen the pic of it, can somone post it up, cant seem to find it on the site link

I really like it, a very noble looking Shaun. A definite purchase from me.
Hellasweet
I think it looks great except for the face and hair
Got_red_on_you
I think they should do some bobble head type figures. Like Kevin smith did for his films.

Here's an example.

He hasn't got red on him.
GundamGuy_UK
The angle that the photos are taken at covers the corner where the red is.
Cuddlecuffs
I'm going to squirt whipped cream all over it, and then lick it off suggestively while I watch the movie in the dark. excl.gif
Crutch
It's blank shit.
Cuddlecuffs
Blank shit?
AusChick
The figurines are quite accurate but somehow seem to lack personality - or something.

The Pulp Fiction ones are hillarious!

Cheers

danc
partial to the flyboy one myself.
wibble
Oh that Bubba Hotep figure is so cool!!
I have to admit that I only saw that film the other weekend..I know what youre thinking - amatuer!

and I just wanna give a shout out for Bruce Campbell's chin biggrin.gif
CazBag

Those are amazing! The Shaun one isn't the best resemblance to Peggy, but zombie Ed is just perfick.

That right there . . . is a slice of fried gold.

Must-buys, indeed.

They ruined it with the Ed Zombie. It looks horribly out of place. I told myself I would buy an Ed figure, but that doesn't interest me one bit.

I don't see how you can say they ruined it since its a prototype and not the final product. Judge it when you see it.
PrincessKate
Now those I like, 'specially Ed.

I love how you can see there are things in his pockets (presumably phone and fags).
Rebus
The PS2 controller's a bit random if it's a Winchester set. Maybe Ed should have been holding the molotov. Love the detail though, Edgar's brother will be happy that his t-shirt design has made it to action figure format.
