Hi, all.
I had a really cool dream last night where I came home one night, went to bed and when I woke up the next day, there was no one home. (I live with parents).
Anyway, I went into the kitchen to make a cuppa, as you do, when I saw someone walk past the kitchen window!
Thinking it was my dad pissing about in the garden, I looked outside the back door to see what was going on.
This man who I didn't recognise threw himself at me, grabbing my neck.
I struggled free, ran back into the house locking the door behind me and went into the living room.
I could then see through the living room window zombies coming from all directions heading towards the house!
I could hear my sister out the back calling for me to let her in, so I went out and she ran towards me but the zombies got her!
In a grief stricken haze, I ran back into the house only for the zombies to follow me in. I tried closing the door on them but it didn't work, however one of them lost a couple of digits in the door.
Having to back up into the kitchen, the dead pricks were surrounding me.
However, I spotted a massive kitchen knife and proceeded to knife the fuckers in the head.
Then, I woke up!
As a huge fan of zombie flicks, that had to be the coolest dream I've ever had!
If anybody else has had a dream like this or one remotely similar, please let me know.

I had a dream that I was in a 1960s dancehall. I was dancing to a tune called 'She's not there' which was quite mellow and trippy. Anyways the band playing it stopped about halfway through and jumped off the stage. They then started attacking me with their instruments whilst singing 'Tell her no'.
I don't know if it counts as being similar but it sure freaked me out.

I did have a dream about zombies, which I'm currently making into a short film:
I was in some kind of deserted hospital, but underground. The walls were white, and it was a labyrinth of corridors. Two men in black started following me, and while I was evading them I could hear a scraping sound. I found a lift, one of those wire mesh ones outside half-finished buildings, and took it up. I could see the men in black beneath me in the room, and then something did something very nasty to them - All I saw was their feet facing away from the lift, and a big splat of blood appeared behind them as they disappeared from view.
I got out of the lift at the top and I was in some sort of hangar - not that big but with a massively high ceiling. Abandoned science/madical equipment was around the room on workbenches. Next to my lift was another similar one, this time leading up to the surface, so I took it to the top. I came out of a corrugated iron building, and there was a hillock with a sheriff on top, holding a shotgun balanced on his hip with one hand. I then noticed all the zombies walking towards me...

I've had daydreams where I have played Tetris so much (going back years now) and my eyes are finding random objects in my house that the blocks could fit nicely around... and I've played Resident Evil so much that in my sleep I have been pursued by a relentless Mr. X... but I rarely dream of zombies I'm afraid.
Tonight, I'd like a zombie dream.

Zombie dreams????
I have at least 1 a week and have done so for the past 12 or 13 years.
Drives my wife mad. I normally wake up and say, "I had the craziest dream last night" and the reply is usually, "Oh really? What now? Zombies.... Again...."
It was kinda cool to begin with, but it's starting to get a bit annoying. I'm sure there's probably an underlying psychological thing about zombies and being chased and all that.

Speaking from experience, when you are working together with a unit of people out on the streets fighting crime (or zombies), you are quickly assigned a nickname by your fellow colleagues.
It only takes one person to share the nickname around. So you quickly get known as that. A prime example was me finding out recently what Unit I was being tranferred to, and I told colleagues that it's Sergeant ______'s Unit. And they were like "Oh, Shades! He's alright he is". And when I asked what his first name was so that I could e-mail him about something, nobody had a clue!!!!
So yeah, I guess my point is that closely working units of people do get nicknames and people end up only knowing or referring to them as that.

Fingermouse, mate, there is no need to brag about how many zombie dreams you've had. (Only kidding)!
I would love to have that dream again just because it will probably be the only time I get to kick some zombie derriere!
Thanks to everyone that responded to my inane ramblings. It's comforting to know I'm not the only one to have such wild dreams.

Spent best part of the weekend watching Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead and Land of the Dead.
To take the edge off, I might just watch Shaun of the Dead for the hundredth time.

I've never had a zombie dream, except this one dream where me, Brian (the Mike to my Tim), three timesplitters characters, cybermen, and daleks were fihgting it out in a hotel full of the undead. I remeber clearly breaking a window with my shotgun adn trying to climb out while the zombos were trying to bite me and I was fending them off. I wish I had more zombo dreams

my zombie dreams oddly enough are always set in the movie resident evil 2 with raccoon city all blocked off but we have a bomb shelter like the one in the movie "blast from the past" (if you've ever seen it) but we're fighting zombies thru the city trying to get the kids to the shelter before umbrella bombs the city.

I have a zombie dream about once a week, oddly enough, and have had these since I saw George Romero's "Dawn of The Dead". They started out as fun dreams, you know, bashing in zombies with umbrellas and other...blunt objects...
But then things got out of control.
For instance, about six months ago, I dreamt I was in a shopping mall and there was a great big glass roof. The zombies had made it onto the roof and were pounding against the glass, and I was hiding inside a store, with a pistol in my hand. I only three bullets, and I think I said something like..."I don't like this dream anymore."
So I aimed it at my head, and pulled the trigger...my hand slipped and the bullet went right through my foot. "Shiiit." It happened two more times, and then a zombie jumped on me, bit me, blood went WOOOOOOSH...and THEN I woke up.
My most recent zombie dream was on Wednesday night. I dreamt zombies developed intelligence, and began to raid cars and homes. Then they turned into gigantic insects and demanded more highways.

A warning? I think so.

The last Zombie dream I had was when I was living at my old place, which had a tiny little balcony that looked out onto a dirty Belfast street. Some of the zombies could run a la 28 Days Later... but most were just shuffling around.
I opened up my cupboards, taking comfort from the fact that I had loads of cans of sweetcorn, then found my (already bloodied, although I don't know why) baseball bat. I went back out onto the balcony and I caught one of the zombie's eyes.
I opened my door and looked down the flight of stairs to see some of them looking back up, trying to climb the stairs.
I ran back into my flat and kind of crouched at the door, waiting for them to come up. The I woke up!
I didn't even get to fight any, I just spent my dream fearing the inevitable yet thinking that if I survive, at least I can survive on corn! I hate my brain.

I dream about zombies quite alot. I remember having to fight some in my old school once, but the most memorable one was after going to see SOTD in the cinema for the first time having a dream that my flat was being invaded by zombies and i had to kill my flatmates. With a baseball bat.

That's either a good dream or a bad dream depending on how you feel about your flatmates.

I had the strangest zombie dream last night. There was some kind of party in my back yard, which was different in some way. People started to become zombies, and doing what zombies do. I was running around trying to escape. I think at one point I did see Shaun and zombie Ed wandering around. I tried opening a door into my house, but my hands were too sweaty and kept slipping on the door knob, and Ed was coming towards me so I just ran off.

Well, I just had my very first zombie dream last night!
There were bushfires everywhere (as there really are here in Australia at the moment) & there was a bit of a zombie crisis happening at the same time. So I was running around with an axe, either cleaving the zombie's heads in half or chopping their heads off. (It was really quite graphic; I must have a twisted sub-concious!) I was taking big swings as I took a run-up; sort like Shaun does with the cricket bat when he's running towards Liz's flat. Then suddenly I was in a house; not my house, but I think it was meant to be the house of someone I knew. (Dreams are weird that way.) I was lying in bed resting, when a zombie bloke with blood all down his chin, started to wander into the room. I suddenly realised I'd left the front door open (another
Shaun reference!). Anyway, I lay there waiting for the zombie to come close enough so I could kick him back with both feet to make a run for it. So I kicked, & then I woke up because I was really kicking both legs!
Do you think I've watched
Shaun of the Dead too much?!!
Feel the love.

i had a dream that my school was infested with zombies
i ran down into the cellar
(we dont have a cellar @ school but we did in my dream)
anyways i was running down the stairs with a shotgun in my hand
i looked behind me and there was my R.E teacher as a zombie staggering behind me!!
i ran into a bedroom and my mates ran into another bedroom
(a bedroom in a school cellar lmao!)
anyways it was a bit like resident evil because it was like a game
i could pause it etc... anyway.. my zombie R.E teacher came staggering into my room
and i just had enough time to pause and quit it
the weird thing is, she kept walking even tho i paused it but i went back to the main screen and nobody was there
it just said

Not a dream. Burrrrt, I used to do work at the Boots' site here in Nottingham. It's a massive place, more of a campus type of a set-up, with buildings all over. On the bus to and from the place I was planning my strategy on what I'd do if the place ended-up "zombified".
I blame this on SOTD and Half-Life 2

I was once walking in town to meet the OH when I passed a HSS Hire shop, it occured to me that this would be a particularly good place to hide out in a zombie invasion and I spent the rest of the walk entertaining myself by planning what I'd tool up with and how I'd rescue people.
Perhaps too much SOTD methinks

The other day, I was being chased through a caravan park by zombies. Romero's rules, so I could easily out run them...but I stopped for breath inside on of the caravans.
There was a family in there...a family and a couple of celebrities/TV presenters...but the zombies swarmed round the caravan before I had a chance to get out and they gradually broke in through the windows and managed to find a hole on the floor of one of those walk-in closets. I opened the closet as they fell out on top of me, clutching for my neck (for some reason they were dressed in the clothes IN the closet, as if they had changed while they were in there). I kicked them off with help from the others but they dragged Eamon Holmes off into the closet.
I found a baseball bat (wish it was a cricket bat) and started aiming for heads. The other celebrities were too slow, Ant n Dec getting feasted on quickly. I crawled out the sun roof, seeing that all hope was lost in the caravan now that about 40 zombies were surrounding me in the cramped quarters.
But when I stood up and looked around, the entire caravan site; every square foot, was covered with a sea of grey faces looking up at me, with soulless white eyes. Then I woke up.
I don't think SotD brought this on, because prior to this dream I'd been playing Dead Rising continously.
