I'd totally forgotten about that incident until this evening. In retrospect it's quite funny, but I remember being rather distressed at the time...the teacher was far from happy about having to break school equipment and my finger had a bruised ring around it for days afterwards. Heh. Silly.

Been busy for the last week or so, but on tomorrow's exciting Gobstopper show we have:

Gordon Cox - the man who is now without a moustache talking about Middlesbrough FC.

Verity Burton - singer/songwriter coming in to play a few tunes and chatter on.

Some bloke from the Guilty Pleasures club night (play Chas 'n' Dave and things) who I've forgotten the name of.

All the usual bollocks on e-mail as well, including breaks to write down what we've just said that might make a good album name.

What's the theme for writing in this week?

Tonight I finally caught the repeats of Down The Line, Radio 4's first live phone in radio show. It's one of those brilliantly incestuous comedies (in this case all The Fast Show/Harry Enfield etc alumni) that's easy enough to confuse for the real thing if you're not the sharpest tool in the box.
My personal highlight was the caller who labelled the presenter a twazzock during a debate on Free speech. And the Holocaust denier's boyfriend.

I have absolutely no idea. I'll have a word with Fischyface.

And Fischyface says:

In case I don't get round to it on air, our friend Mike was working the door at Joseph's Well a while ago and Miles Hunt was doing a solo set. Mike was chatting to his friend Neil round the corner from the stage, up a flight of stairs, when Miles stopping playing and told them to shut up.

Miles started playing again, at which point Mike put his head round the corner and shouted "SORRRRRRY!!!!".

Miles stopped playing, threatened to walk off, and the whole crowd turned round and booed Mike.

I've seen Milo berate chatters and turn a crowd against them at a show a few times. But never the guilty party apologising
