Thanks Sostie, wait till you hear the Christmas show on the 20th. We're gathering the lesser Cringle singles for 3 hours of pain.

Will do. Thanks for clearing up the Terry & June/porn mystery - that seriously has been a bone of contention between me & friends for some years.

The American accent - comedy gold.

Well, that's what happens when you become friends with a man who has little else to do with his time but watch classic British sitcoms. I hope you realise it's your fault I had to listen to Fischer and respected Boro journalist Gordon Cox speaking in silly voices for 20 minutes.

As opposed my accent, which was accurate AND amusing.

Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you all for e-mailing in.

American accent nearly made me fall off my chair. Great show as ever, Shackles - maybe one day I will phone in from work. smile.gif

You totally should.

Get a proper American on the phone as well and I'll impress them with my pwonwunciatswun.
Zoe
Could you ask Bob not to get Alyssa overexcited? She would not stop going on about her 'lovely' name.

And she was wearing that stupid, bloody hat.

She's showing herself up as a radio e-mailer there. Old hands, like yourself, barely raise a grin when their names are read out.

I'll take her name down a peg or two this weekend.

Be a bit mean to her for a while, she's was far too lively after her moment of fame.

Make her jealous by chatting to my Mum all night.

No problemo. I'm going to do a little bit of close-up magic to wow your parents.

If only the doves wouldn't keep dying....

I'll do my best.

What order does everyone do their weekly listen agains?

Starting Monday I work my way through:

Russell Brand (2 hours) usually get to this on Monday afternoon
Russell Howard (3 hours) Tuesday afternoon
Jonathan Ross (3 hours), I've just started my Wednesday Wossy session
Andrew Collins (3 hours) looks after me on Thursday (unless it's been a Shack gobstopper the night before)

By Friday I've usually run out...
empathy-with-beast
This is the best Archers omnibus I have ever listened to! The Brian decides to turn up at his stepson's gay wedding bit was chessy as hell but I still welled up like a big fat poof.
Zoe
What's going on? Russell Brand is talking about my friend Dave Cheeseman. Is Dave famous? Where have I been?
Shack
In case I don't get online again before Wednesday, there's a Gobstopper Christmas special on Wednesday night at 7pm.

As per, we'd love your festive mails and jolly fun to be sent through. If you've got some good Christmas anecdotes, send them in and we'll protect the names of the innocent.

Mail: gobstopper@bbc.co.uk.

Keep on trucking.
Shack
Yo yo ho.

In the spirit of all things Christmassy and our Spaced-Out compiled alternative song playlist, I welcome you to listen in this fine eve and send us your tales of Christmas past.

Anything amusing or slightly painful would be good.

And when I say painful, I mean in terms of injury, not mental anguish.

Mail to: gobstopper@bbc.co.uk.

Hairy Christmas.
Gimp
I already sent you something. Hopefully you've received it.
widowspider
Shack just made me spit water on my keyboard.

'Hwappy Hwolidays'

ETA: Hmm, this girl has interesting songs but her voice is a bit ropey.
Sostie
Great show again Shack. Mr Bob & yourself got me reet into the Christmas spirit...for a few hours at least. Plus the added bonus of the spot-on New Yoik accent and faint Zoe giggles.

Will we be seeing some scanned proof of Zoe's colouring-in prowess?
mcraigclark
The Anthony Daniels song should be made illegal. I never want to hear that again.

I can't believe I missed it. I really feel like I dropped the ball.

In case anyone hasn't found out about this yet, the BBC have started broadcasting Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour, the first 6 or 7 installments of which can be found here. The tracklists are interesting and varied, largely thanks to the ''Themes'' that run through each edition. The next lot are going to be on 6 Music over the next couple of months.

Belated thanks Mister Sostie. It was a good show. I have a feeling the coloured-in card was left in the studio, I'll check this Wednesday when I'm up there again.

On this weeks Gobstopper, there'll probably be some general new year resolution banter, some turkey sandwiches and we've also got Football 365's John Nicholson on the phone, who is a funny writer man and also a Boro fan.

Listen by clicking the linky poo on my signature and contribute by mailing to:

Yo ho ho (belated).
Shack
Also on tonight's show, we've got the sensational Alex Harvey Band popping in for a chat.

As per above, we love to hear from you guys because you are a funny bunch of buggers.

I'm also in discussion with a number of big celebrity names with a view to booking them on the show. One of them is Bobby Crush.
widowspider
Sadly I've missed/am missing the show because I have a horrible work crisis and I'm ill. Apologies to Bob and the Shackmeister.
logger
Listening to Shack's show for the first time. I'm stealing lithium gravy.
Shack
Thank you to those peeps who did mail in, much appreciated and tip top notch once again.

Logger - you can steal Lithium Gravy, but you owe us at least five quid.

Rach - I mentioned you anyway, I listed you as someone who could put us in touch with a New York film producer as regards our winning movie idea involving Wesley Snipes and Derek Griffiths.

Yes, I know lots of film producers. Honest.

I've been enjoying radio 4 of late, informative and entertaining, who needs 'Enders? when you got the Archers....

Mmmmm. Monday night on Five Live.....

Anyway, when Zoe came into the studio before Christmas, she did some colouring in. And here, for all to see, is the result of that colouring in.

I am special! At least that's what my care worker tells me.
Shack
And to think you only had four colours.

You shat on Van Pissing Gogh.

I did, but only because he was being rude about my Mum, the one-eared twat.

He can shove his sunflowers where the sun don't shine.

They're all the same these post-impressionists, all mouth no trousers.
Shack
You also had the last laugh, because you can wear glasses and he can't.

What's that Vince? You CAN wear glasses? Ohhh, do tell, I'm all ears.....

WAH HAH HAH.
Zoe
Trust you.

By the way, did I tell you my dog's got no nose?

I don't know what is more worrying...Zoe in a real life BBC Radio studio while it's transmitting and deciding to do some colouring while there, or the fact that she obviously took great care and attention in colouring the card.

Zoe, The Spastic Society awaits *

* I of course mean your range of Christmas Cards are awaited and not you personally. The SS are called something else now aern't they?**

Lovely Gimp sent the card in, he even put a fifty pence in it as a present. A true gent.

No-one had to colour it in, but Zoe was so captivated by the "magic" of live radio, she decided to colour it in anyway. She later cut a cake up with a spoon.

She's a one.
Zoe
I'm not allowed knives... or pens, that's why I had to use crayons.

I get stabby when I'm angry.
Sostie
Forget the patches and plastic inhilators Zoe...get yourself a big colouring book instead.
Zoe
You can all club in and send me one, and some sucky sweets please.
Shack
Colouring in sure will put a dent in Paul McKenna's so called smoking fix.

In other news, the little legends feature is starting to gather speed.

Take tonight for instance. I'm going to ring up Geoff Capes for a chat and to ask him when he wants to be on the show.
dandan
cool! if i'm back from the cinema, can i listen in? are you going to get him to send us signed pictures?

I wouldn't mind the Krankies. I've tried to get hold of them but as yet had no response.

Dan - I'll probably ring at around 8. He'll have finished putting his budgies to bed by then.

Playing hard to get eh?

Did you see they have a clip of your favourite song on the merchandise section of their official website?

That's your birthday present sorted then.
Shack
Been there, seen it, would love to have the t-shirt.
