I was listening to Adam & Joe Podcast 3 today on the way home. It made me laugh so hard I had to stop, remove my headphones, turn my i-Pod
off and sit down for a few minutes to calm down. I listened to dour indie all the way home and I was still sniggering when I opened the front door.
Love it.
Eeeeyyy!!
Cheers for merely
mentioning this, Stella! I'd totally forgotten about them - just doen a search and am indulging in a download frenzy! Hooray! Free comedy! Woo!

I think I've almost listened to all the Adam & Joe, it's excellent on the whole, but nothing yet to match the marvellous R Kelly stuff.
There's some headphone removing compose yourself bits when they're talking about airlines in a later episodes, and there's a fantastic bit about spam e-mails asking for your bank details.

I was listening to the spam emails one while waiting at the doctor's yesterday, and Adam's 'foreign swindler' voice had me cackling with glee. Also Joe's thicky voice, which trod the line of wildly innapropriate but utterly hysterical.

This evening, the very radio show I contribute to as a bumbling half-cocked idiot will enter a new digital age (see signature). We'll be accepting e-mails in the studio, live to the radio desk, on a variety of matters, so I thought you 'orrible lot might be up for sending a few amusing bits and bobs in to us so we can steal your jokes and read your names (real) out on air.
Now, they've still not managed to get the actual e-mail address on the web page, but to avoid people screening the forum and spamming it, let's just say it's "Gobstopper" followed by "@bbc.co.uk".
It's with code skills like that that we won we Second World War.
Tonight's hot topics include:
- The lack of success of re-introducing bustards to the British countryside (chosen because we'll be able to say bustard a lot)
- A list of things you can put as manly, even though they aren't really that manly at all - e.g. putting bottles in the bottle bank. There was a thread I started on this a while back.....
- Tea and biscuits
You can also comment on anything else about the programme as you see fit:
"Your voice is more annoying than I thought it would be."
"You two can barely enunciate."
"This is shit."
I'm banking on you guys/gals. Bless you all.

Lionel Nimrod's Inexplicable World is back on BBC7 - go to Wednesday's Listen Again for last week's episode. LNIW is Fist of Fun before Fist of Fun was Fist of Fun and used the Tom Baker Has a Posh Funny Voice comedic device a good ten years before Walliams & Lucas cottoned onto it.
