Was there a "Shack Track" last night?
No. I meant to pick up the "Shacktrack" CD before I left home, but I forgot to pick it up and instead had a glass of ribena and a large cookie, neither of which are much use on the radio.
It's starting next week for sure, I've written a reminder on the fish chalkboard in my lounge.

We got "bumped" because BBC Radio Cleveland had coverage of a friendly between Darlington and Sunderland.
E-mails to the station in protest would be most welcome.

Really? Bloody technical difficulties.
I find, when I'm listening back and laughing at my own jokes, that it sometimes crashes and I have to click the "Gobstopper" link again, to make it not only refresh, but listen again from where it stopped.
I'll ask the question next time I'm in. In a few weeks there'll be a podcast (Gobcast) so people can listen and laugh at us on the way to work and stuff. I know I will (saaaaaad).

I was thinking about that the other day. Bob's laugh is infectious while you can barely hear mine. I think I need to be a more vocal laugher.

He's clearly an exhibitionist laugher, just like people who make loads of noise then they sneeze/blow their nose. Embrace your subtler tones.
You should request if they're going to bump you for football again, that you and Bob could commentate on it a bit like FanZone on Sky.

If only. I've got Fanzone experience doncher know. I can still occasionally be seen on "The Best Of..." Fanzone as Middlesbrough throw away a 3-1 lead at Highbury to lose 5-3.

On Gobstopper this Wednesday............
We have a science-fiction double bill! We speak to a man whose stand-up comedy show “Moths Ate My Doctor Who Scarf” is about to come to Stockton after winning rave national reviews – he’s TOBY HADOKE.
Plus we’re joined live in the studio by the Teesside special effects wizard whose work is currently adorning BBC2’s sci-fi comedy Hyperdrive – he’s NEIL BUSHNELL.
We’ve live music from Hartlepool blues maestro JB BUTTERFIELD.
And our ‘Little Legend’ this week is the writer and narrator of Jamie And The Magic Torch, Chorlton And The Wheelies, Dangermouse and Count Duckula – as well as being the presenter of ace 70s kids TV quiz ‘Screen Test’ – the lovely BRIAN TRUEMAN!
Plus all the usual cooler-than-school music, bizarre listener contributions and rambling nonsense.
Gobstopper with Bob Fischer (and Shack helping out), Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-10pm, on BBC Radio Cleveland 95FM, DAB Digital Radio and online at www.bbc.co.uk/tees.
This weeks hot topic is: "What's in your loft?"

On Gobstopper tonight… (Wednesday 8th August)
As the new football season approaches, we’re joined live in the studio by BBC Tees’ expert football pundit! We roll out the red carpet for former Boro midfielder GARY GILL.
We’ve an exclusive acoustic session from arguably THE original British female singer-songwriter! She spent most of the 1970s signed to Island Records and working with the Kinks’ Ray Davies, and - more recently - had songs covered by Eva Cassidy. Joining us to play live is the brilliant CLAIRE HAMILL.
Our Little Legends of the week are Saturday morning TV legends – we speak live to TREVOR AND SIMON!
And we’ll be looking forward to Elwick’s annual Pigpen Music Festival with organisers JULIA AND ALEX BURGESS.
Plus all the usual cooler-than-school music, bizarre listener contributions and rambling nonsense.
Gobstopper with Bob Fischer (and Shack helping out), Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-10pm, on BBC Radio Cleveland 95FM, DAB Digital Radio and online at the lovely www.bbc.co.uk/tees.

We found Trevor, but Simon was AWOL.

Every week that I remember to listen it ends up being cancelled for some rubbish northern team. I conclude this is not a flaw in my memory, but the fault in the BBC for providing free sports coverage.

We speak live to the lead singer of one of the biggest indie bands of the 1990s – now turned solo and bringing his lovely acoustic tunes to Darlington Forum. From THE INSPIRAL CARPETS, it’s TOM HINGLEY.
We’re also joined in the studio for some live stargazing by our regular galactic correspondent… from Wynyard Planetarium, it’s DR JOHN McCUE.
Plus we link up to Danish pop sensations THE KISSAWAY TRAIL, preparing to come to Middlesbrough, and we’ve live music in the studio from the brilliant CARL EATON (think Elvis Costello crossed with Squeeze!)
Plus all the usual cooler-than-school music, bizarre listener contributions and rambling nonsense.
