They amazing - love it.
I also loved La Princesse - the Scouse Spider. I missed it sadly but my cousins saw it and said it was amazing.

Got to be a hoax. There is no way that something like that would ever get sponsorship or a venue, let alone the fact that he'd be shut down this first second the exhibit opened. Still, it's a disgusting idea.

What if a police officer crawls through the tunnel?
Then I will probably go to jail. But before that I’ll try my very best to sexually assault him or her.

Walking past the Dukes theatre in Lancaster last night, my friend remembered that he had been invited to a private viewing of an exhibition of paintings, photography and sculpture so we went in to have a look. The exhibition is called 'Shared Perspectives' and is by brothers Simon and John Nixon and although I know nothing about art, I think it's pretty fantastic. Simon paints beautiful pictures so realistic that at first I thought they were photographs and his brother John takes excellent photographs and makes really lovely lead sculptures - I particularly liked the lead balloon which was suspended in the middle of the room to look as if it was a helium filled balloon. Some of Simon's work is
here and if you are in the Lancaster area, I would thoroughly recommend checking it out for free at the Dukes. The contrast between his paintings and his brother's photographs of similar urban landscapes is really interesting and it's a really fun exhibition which doesn't take itself too seriously but showcases the considerable talent of both artists.

The first one is the first thing you see as you go into the exhibition and his brother has photographed the same view so it's really interesting to see the differences between the two. Talking to Simon at the exhibition, he was saying that even he was amazed by how different the two were and how unreal the colours in his painting seemed in comparison.
