I'd forgotten they'd "Un-axed" it.
Jason Fleming is no longer trapped in Dino land.

I forgot about Primeval. I sort of got into it when I was in Southampton.
I think it's on BBC America, so maybe I can catch up.

First look at new cast line up.
Okay, I didn't recognise Abby or Connor at first glance!

New series starts New Year's Day on ITV1.
W00t!
So did anyone watch it? I thought it was rather good and the CGI seems to have been improved as well. Also laughed when the S Club 7 music started playing in the arena.

Meh, I've lost interest in this.
It hasn't been the same since Cutter left, and this series has been a charisma vacuum (even the dinosaurs are boring).
I will be surprised of this gets renewed again.

It's.. Okay. Certainly nothing special, and as you said, has gone downhill minus the cutters.
And I bet they're going to probably leave even more plot threads hanging on Saturday.

^ Given this was a two series package I'd say that is almost guaranteed.
I think the program's biggest flaw is the lack of any establishing mythology.
Four series in we are still none the wiser as to the origins of the anomalies, the public still don't know about them and the whole country is being covered by a small group ostensibly based in London.
It just hasn't developed, which is a pity.

Nice to see Flemyng reappear for a spot of bird bashing.
I have to say though, I've not really paid the series much attention, and as a result, I've no real clue about what's going on.
And I don't like Hannah S Club's hair.

You've not actually missed a great deal; for the most part it has been following the dinosaur of the week format.
But to summarise, Abby and Connor spent a year living in the Cretaceous period before they were able to get back to the modern day. When they did so they found the ARC had become a private/public partnership with shady Bill Gates alike wiz Burton (Alexander Siddig) helping to run and co-finance their activities. They ended up joining a new team led by the mysterious Matt Anderson, which also includes former team member Captain Becker and new super PA Jess Parker. In episode three two new characters, Emily Merchant and Ethan Dobrowski wandered into the show through an anomaly, Emily became Matt's love interest whilst the unbalanced Ethan caused all kinds or trouble for no readily apparent reason. And that's pretty much it, until last night's episode which had more exposition that the rest of the series put together!

Yep, last night was the strongest in a while. Quite liking the series 4/5 arc (no pun intended).
