Hello all, as a newby to this popular site, I thought I would share my Shaun of the Dead walk about with you and while on the walkabout take a few photos of the filming locations used.
I don't know how many other fans have done this but it was a great experiance and hope to do the same for The Fuzz when it comes on DVD.

Yes the Get Carter tour is pretty unique, a classic film and most of the streets are knocked down now, but a truly original work of art.
I'm not sure if the Winchester was derelict before they started to film the exterior of the building.

Nice work there.
Plenty of good locations.
Well done.

We really should try and go back to some of the places where we filmed on Shaun - it would be a nice nostalgia trip, although it will be as depressing as hell to go back to New Cross Gate - even moreso that the pub that was The Winchester is closed

Listen Onlineedit: actually.... so far so 'meh'.

I really want to go on a Shaun walkabout but I don't know anyone that'd go, which is a bummer, really.
I don't think I'd want to see the Winchester (Duke Of Albany?) derelict, though, it's a shame.

Yeah, I would be up for that. I think my friends are getting sick of me dragging them to things like the signing and the Spaced house lol

Yeah I'd definitely be up for that!
Is 'The Winchester' still standing, or has it been completely demolished now? If it's still standing it'd be a good idea to do it sooner rather than later.

If people want a pub that looks and feels very much like I imagine the Winchester would try the Brownswood Tavern on Green Lanes N4 (Junction with Lordship Park). It's a corner pub from the same era (possibly the same architect) with a fat Irish Landlord who used to crack into the single malt with us at around 3am on many a Friday night....

Sorry for the double post but I just had an idea...
A few years ago (when I lived in Tufnell Park) some mates and I re-enacted the whole Tim/Mike/Sophie "If you hurt him, I'll kill you" scene outside the newsagent where it was filmed (off Tuffnell Park road). Might I suggest that if any of you current London dwellers get round to a tour you whore the whole thing in character?
or is that too geeky

Haven't they been planning that for at least a year now? Welll there is one way to find out. If its heavily graffitied and vandalised, its been awaiting demolition for a while now. Why, all us spaced and Sotd fans, etc, should buy it back and turn it into its old glory. Or make it a SOTD, spaced, etc museum.
