I have the US DVD. It's got some nice goodies, but from what I've heard the UK version is much nicer. That's why I'm buying the R2 version in addition to the R1 of HF. Don't want to get shafted yet again.

But the french SotD DVD is even better (combining all the extras, adding zombie auditions, and coming in a cool box). *cuddles French DVD*

I have all three versions. I usually watch the UK dvd, when I want to see the film (or the extras) even though mine's screwed up and won't play without the subtitles.

There are two more commentaries on the R2 than are one the R1 (Penelope Wilton and Bill Nighy, and the Zombies), but the R1 version got Edgar and Simon's flipchart. They're both worth having.

That's where the french dvd isn't good, it doesn't have the commentaries. lol

It does have a clip from 'Spaced', which I thought an interesting extra.

So let's see... The North American DVD has everything the UK one has except 2 commentaries and a video diary? The UK one doesn't have the flip chart or audition tapes? The French one has a mix of both and a very cool box minus all the commentaries?
Is that right?
I own Region 1 of SOTF and Region 2 of both Spaced (obviously) and HF.

The UK one has the flip chart. ... no audition footage though.

I used to "double dip" quite often but now I just don't have the shelf space for it so I wait out for definitive editions.
Does the french edition have anything that both UK and North American releases don't or is it just the awesome box? Also are there any more pictures of the box?

We don't know the specs of the HD-DVD version coming out in July, yet.

Yes, we do. Not in detail but it appears to be identical to the R1 standard specs.

Fuck it.. I'm double dipping. The Hot Fuzz Region 1 has the Fuzzball Rally feature and the Shaun region 2 DVD has all the stuff my Region 1 doesn't. On top of that the Region 2 DVDs have a 4 percent speed up so I'll have my Region 1's for the correct speed and the Region 2 for superior video quality.
Hmm.. I'll wait a bit... I'll have no choice but to wait for the Region 1 Hot Fuzz but I won't be rushing out to buy it immediatley.

Isn't the HD-DVD version of Hot Fuzz just the R1? I'm getting that, since it's a combo format.

I got the German version. It got the bad German dubbing and not all the extras the UK version got.
Well, the dubbing isn't really bad. It's more like every character is a little retarded in the German version. I think Hot Fuzz is worse.

I only have the UK version.
I never bought the Australian version because it has less on it than the UK one anyway.
The only thing I own multiple copies of is Spaced. I still have my original Series 1 and Series 2 DVDs, even after I bought the 3-disc box set.
I kept meaning to sell or give away the original ones but for some reason I don't want to.
Oh yeah - and I have two copies of HF now. Forgot about that. A signed one (HMV cover)and an unsigned one(Amazon cover). Again, both English versions.
I don't have Australian versions of anything.
I'm too impatient

That does sound cool.
And *ahem* we don't like to refer to ourselves as "losers" round here.
But "geeks" will do.

Anyhoo. Check this out, it's quite cute.
Don't miss the Shaun half way through.
I think he is Heff's doppleganger. Ginger-Ninja, dresses as Shaun, works for a printer, and makes badges for himself with company property. Yep, definately sounds like Heff

I laughed so much at that...

The first Captain Jack Sparrow was really realistic...
Hahahaha and the last guy "I don't have one. That's why I'm here."
Oh yeah, and that guy looked a lot like Heff

Yep.
I don't think I'll be getting the Aus version of HF either.
And there is no Aus version of Spaced.
I just have a heavily UK loaded DVD collection.
