Last night during a what I think was a collage of snippets advertising programmes on BBC3 they showed a brief clip of the genius that is Family Guy.
Why mention it here (especially if it has already been mentioned and I am trawling over old news)? Well, Peter appeared to have run someone over and said person was lying in the road in exactly the same position as the Zombie Ed runs over in SOtD. Also, although I did not hear all the dialogue as I was leaping off the settee, I am sure that Peter asked if he was alright including a Pegg style 'heelllloooooo'.
Maybe I was in some hallucinogenic dream state but if this episode does exist does anyone know which one it is?
Cheers

It's the episode titled "Brian Sings and Swings" where Peter runs over Brian in the driveway.

It wasn't a hallucinogenic dream

Thank you thank you thank you! You would not believe how many episodes of Family Guy I have watched to try to find this. Not that that is a bad thing.

Riiiiight.
So...I've got a DVD here and on the box it says:
Complete Season 4 CollectionAnd yet it only goes up to 13 episodes. So how does that work if there's a 19th episode???

It lies!
I've just had a look at the dvds and the episode 'Brian Sings and Swings' is actually on the second disc of Season 5.

I just looked on some websites and it appears that Family Guy over here in the US is split up into 2 volumes containing season 4. I guess that the seasons are different here in the US.

If it's anything like over here then the second half of production season 4 (split into season 4 parts 1 and 2 in the US) will have been named seasons 4 and 5 in Aus, in much the same way as Futurama had four seasons produced but five seasons aired because of the way in which the seasons were split up.

It's not from Channel 10 is it?
They hack everything to pieces.
I keep noticing them cutting The Simpsons mid-sentence and going to an ad break!!
I mean, OK we've all seen those Simpsons repeats a billion times and could quote the lines anyway - so we don't really need to see it.
But that also means it's blatantly obvious when they do cut stuff out - because we know what should be in there!
No respect!

Agreed, it is annoying!
My copy is from Pay TV, I believe. A work colleague gave me a disk with all the episodes on it, & I can only play it on my computer. There are no ads, but I think some of the eps have be "edited" by the Pay TV channel. Bastards!
So, that scene cuts after Peter says his line about hitting the deaf kid, & next thing is the hospital scene.

They cut out the best bit of that scene!
Feel the love.

OH NO!!! It wasn't Brian Sings and Swings at all!

I was wrong!! I remember Peter hitting someone with a car in that and I thought that was the one, but it isn't. But I know that scene does exist. But since I made that mistake and led everyone in the wrong direction.... I just wan't to say that I enjoyed my stay here at the spaced-out forums, umm, wow you know, you prepare for this moment, but when it happens you still freeze up.......umm, i'm sorry for the mistake, i know it destroyed many lives, broke up families, and even brought some people together. if you wanna throw rocks or spit on me, thats cool, I understand. *shuts the door behind him*

ok, i messed up last time, but this time i'm 100% certain. i am so certain because i just watched a rerun of the episode. it is the episode titled "To Live and Die in Dixie". it's the episode where Chris identifies the guy that robs a store and the guy finds out Chris told the cops. The Griffins move to the south to hide from him, hilarity ensues.
Anyway there is a part where Peter paints the family car to look like the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard. Peter jumps into the car window and when Brian tries, his window is still rolled up and he smacks face first into it. he's then laying on the ground with his body in a twisted position. peter goes up to the window and starts saying "hey, you alright?......helloooo.....wake up sleepy head."
hopefully this solves the case.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but that episode was aired in 2001, so I doubt very much that it's a reference to Shaun. If there is a reference to Shaun in a Family Guy episode, it ain't that one.

ha ha, yeah but i never said it was a shaun reference, the first thing brought up in this thread was seeing a clip of a body twisted next to a car and peter doing a simon style hellooooo, i was just saying where the clip was from.
