Clash Of The Titans. Ooh! Scorpions.
Jackie Chan in The Spy Next Door . There seems to be not one single original idea in this trailer.
Edge Of Darkness. The TV show will be a hard act to follow.
Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief . Kevin McKidd as Poseidon! Sean Bean as Zeus! Steve Coogan as Hades! Pierce Brosnan as Dumbledore!
Shutter Island.
From Paris with Love. More from the almost always enjoyable series of Luc Besson actioners
Hot Tub Time Machine. John Cusack time travel comedy. Not much time travel in the trailer though
Steve Carrell & Tina Fey in Date Night.
A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. It's a little known fact that back in the day everyone in Iran had an English accent...including Jake Gyllenhaal
Angelina Jolie as Salt. Looks alright

Trailer for Shrek Forever AfterHmm, 'Final' chapter, you say? I somehow don't think that'll be the case since, although I've long since lost interest in the series, they do still seem very popular. On first glance, this one seems not quite as bad as Shrek the Third did, but it's not filling me with confidence.

I thought they said that the third one was supposed to be the last one? I loved the first and second ones, but three was very bad so I don't have high hopes for number four.

It's just a good way of tricking people to see it in the cinema, rather than waiting for it to come out of DVD. They've done the same trick with the last two Saw installments.

On the other hand,
Sex and the City 2 and
Little Fockers being present on the list shows that we're only in for a handful of good movies.
We've been spoiled as of late with a couple of years full of really great films.

Alice in Wonderland and Inception for me (and Harry Potter, for reasons I can't quite explain even to myself) but I can think of another 14 or so films that I really want to see this year that haven't been mentioned on that silly little list, so I think 2010 is going to be a good year for films.

You all need to see The Princess and the Frog when it comes out in the UK in February.
It looks and feels like it was made in the mid-90's, when Disney were making great movies like Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and so on. It's awesome.

I have to say, for me, the three best films of this year were District 9, Moon and Let The Right One In, all of which I hadn't heard a thing about at the start of the year. So to say that the next year's going to be "quite a shitty year" strikes me as being a tad short-sighted and unduly pessimistic.

We had an advance screening at work a month or two back and I missed it. I'm really gutted because I really loved his last film, The Beat That My Heart Skipped, and because everyone who saw it was very positive. I did see Ponyo, though, and it is really bloody good.

Gainsbourg (Vie Heroique) Trailer for the Serge Gainsbourg biopic. The casting for SG, Bardot and Birkn looks great (the bit as Bardot enters to "Initials BB" is fantastic).
Lots more clips for those intersted on You Tube. Viewing them, Lucy Gordon looks & sounds fantastic as Birkin. Such a shame she died so young.
Oh, WARNING - trailer is in French and contains boobies. (which almost sums up Gainsbourg's life in one line)

That version's been bandied around for at least four years now. I was quite interested when Peter Berg was attached but his departure has me thinking that it's just going to be one of those projects that floats through development hell for years and years until someone makes a half-arsed and unsatisfactory version years down the line (I'm looking at you, Hitchhiker's!).
