I am cautiously optimistic about this. It looks fun and I like the concept and idea of it. My only issue is I've read theres a 30+ minute card game scene all spoken in German, it's not that it's just dialogue or in a foreign language that bothers me, it's the awful nature of the dialogue from Deathproof that worries me. Sure it may have been "realistic" but by fuck it was boring to watch and listen to, if the dialogue is witty and engaging and funny I won't mind but by christ I hope it doesn't bore me to tears like Deathproof did.
I am yet to be totally convinced by Tarantino. I don't dislike his films, but I also don't rate them as highly as many do. Deathproof was, for the most part, awful as well.

If true, then Fassbender is making a killing cleaning up roles left up for grabs.

The writing on gun the Predator gives Harrigan says "Raphael Adolini 1715". This refers to a Pirate who disappeared along with his crew in the Bermuda Triangle in 1718. His ship was found, but the gun, a prized possession of Raphael Adolini, was missing. He was one of the Pirates who flew a "Jolly Rouge", a red painted version of the "Jolly Roger" that meant his crew took no prisoners.

Harry Enfield did a Terminator/Merchant Ivory crossover sketch many years ago, with Martin Clunes as the Terminator.
I watched it on youtube recently, which reminded me just how funny

They should totally release it on DVD, that would look great next to my Fast Show boxset.

I would like to see a period monster film. Ancient stories are full of monsters so there is potential cross-over there - e.g. Last of the Mohicans meets Godzilla. Daniel Day-Lewis kills a giant reptile with a tomahawk.
Moby Dick doesn't count.
