If you had the Scott brothers in a room together would Ridley spend ages deciding where to sit, making sure he's perfectly positioned under the light, while his little brother franticly runs around, shouting a lot and shaking.

You know that in the next five years something like this will be made, films have been made from smaller ideas. The starting point for Indiana Jones was the idea of someone chasing a car on a horse. That and George Lucas' statutory rape fantasies.

We'll see. I'm really losing patience with Scorsese. Somebody needs to tell him to stop giving DiCaprio work.

There's a biopic of Ian Dury on the way and Andy Serkis is playing Dury. Good casting, though this could fall flat on its face if it tries to be too earnest regarding his polio.

I wonder if Karl Lagerfeld really is Papa Lazarou under that make-up. Another movie perhaps.

Trailer for Steven Soderbergh's
The Informant! starring a slightly chubby Matt Damon. For some reason I was expecting this to be a fairly serious movie, sort of a sub-The Insider kind of movie, but as a comedy it actually looks like it could be pretty good.

This has been stuck in development hell for a couple of years now, and I'm surprised to see a big name being attached to it.
I wonder what the story will be? I'm struggling to see how they are going to pull a coherent story out of the mess that is Warcraft Lore.

Got a nice surprise seeing the trailer for Surrogates at the beginning of Public Enemies. This had not crossed my radar whatsoever, and its exciting for to see high-concept sci-fi on the big screen. Whether or not the execution will be as exciting remains to be seen, but unless the general consensus recommends otherwise, this is definitely on my 'to see' list.
