New in Town - Little Boots
Under the Sheets - Ellie Goulding
Basically anything up-tempo and inspiring to help break through that wall.

This I'm sure you could also burn off calories just by imagining hitting the annoying mc.

Definitely.
Also, as long as you don't hate the stuff, a generic MoS compilation, like the 'Anthems' compilations work.

Doctor Pressure - Mylo vs Miami Sound Machine
My Life Would Suck Without You - Kelly Clarkson
Don't Call Me Baby - Madison Avenue

I've found these really good to run to. I got the first 4 from an album called 101 Running Songs. The last two are from the soundtrack to Irreversible
I tend to listen to audiobooks or the radio when doing exercise (like sit ups, press ups, free weights) at home as I find it stops me getting bored of the repetition. I can't listen to anything to fast or heavy when doing this sort of exercise as I end up pushing myself to far to keep up with the music.

Nike have a couple of iTunes mixes for running to. The Simian Mobile Disco mix is a 30-minute journey designed specifically for running, starting with light techno and building to an acid barnstormer.
Thanks all! Any more?
I will be exercising in 30 mins. Then playing a board game invented by my flatmate called 'Get in'

Sounds cool! ^
I'm gonna get a Wii Fit. I am very excited about it all. So until i get the money together, I am walking to work. 2 miles. 40 minutes. And I save £1.20.
But until I get my iTunes data off the old drive, I'm stuck with the same old music left on the Pod.
P.S. 'Get in!' is amazing! Genuinely, Glyn is going to be a millionnaire.
Anyone know how to copyright a board game?

You take out a
patent. Seriously - he should do it ASAP. This kind of stuff would get nicked. Or he should go on Dragon's Den!
This page has some very interesting advice and links.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of exercise are you doing? Do you have a particular aim in mind?
I've been doing stuff to strengthen and tone and found swimming to be really good for these things.
My trusty exercise bike. The aim is not to die too young

I wish I had room in my house for an exercise bike. I used to read Ian Rankin novels whilst on the exercise bike at the gym.

Not sure of the cost, I think it varies, those links probably have the full list though.

I've been working out mainly to podcasts this year, which has worked fairly well since my old laptop dying meant that I had hours of foul-mouthed banter and film discussion to catch up on. Now that I'm all caught up, I find I don't really have enough to cover all my walking and gym time, so I've put together a playlist of songs (most of which I've used before) that should hopefully keep me going and match up nicely with the exercises I'll be doing:
1. Junior Boys - The Equalizer (warm up)
2. Ulrich Schnauss - In All The Wrong Places (Bike)
3. Aphex Twin - Flim
4. Radiohead - Idioteque
5. Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
6. Deutschmarks (my mates' band) - Funny Bones (Bike cool down period)
7. Pet Shop Boys - It's A Sin (Start of Cross-Trainer*)
8. Public Enemy - Bring The Noise
9. Beastie Boys - Intergalactic
10. Clor - Love and Pain
11. Team America - Montage (Cross-Trainer cool down**)
12. Rodrigo and Gabriela - Tamacun (Weights)
13. Chick Habit - April March
14. The Futureheads - The City Is Here For You To Use
15. Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - The Curse of Millhaven***
16. Nirvana - Drain You
17. Pixies - Nimrod's Son
18. The Futureheads - Meantime
19. Mudhoney - Touch Me I'm Sick
20. Vince Guaraldi Trio - Christmas Time Is Here (Cool down/walk home)****
*And so I can pretend I'm Tom Hardy in Bronson
** Because it'll make me laugh through the pain
***The whole of Murder Ballads is good to work out to since, although not every song has the right tempo, the lyrics are intricate enough that they distract from the actual exercise. I won't sing along, mind.
****If there aren't too many people around, I will walk with my head hanging down a la various members of the Bluth family.

In all honesty the greatest work out track of all time is Eye of the Tiger. There are, apparently, a lot of professional boxers who use it to work to.

We had a thread for rutting music before didn't we?
Also, nice choice of word.
