I may have tried, and I may have cried as a result. I loved the original Perfect Dark, was immensely fun and cool, the follow-up has been something of a dissapointment, but then again I'm not really fit to judge it for one reason or another. Multiplayer is great though.
Man, the first perfect dark was my life for about a year! And this was only about 2 years ago, it completely bypassed me when it first came out. It was the year I had a flat with 2 of my mates and the rest of the guys where usualy over anyway, thus ensued many a game of PD and many a tired day at work! I think it was challenge 18 that had elvis sims in villa, how hard was that! Trained up on it so hard me and my mate ended up being able to do it with dead controllers for the 3 and 4 stars! Hence the start of fighting harder elvis sims! tranquilizers where the way foreward on that challenge! I havnt played it for ages now but when I was in my prime I was near unbeatable! One hit kils all the way though!
Edit : Did they keep the facility level on the new PD? I know they carried it over from goldeneye to PD and called it falicity(!). That was blatently the best level, I knew it like the back of my hand!

Sadly they did not, they switched to more open, internet friendly multiplayer maps as opposed to the tight, closed in maps that had made the original so much fun. The new maps are fun if you have a lot of people playing, but it's not as fun for 4 players sitting around the console.

Didn't you find the final boss in PDZ stupidly easy? Even on Dark Agent he's not all that tough, especially considering what a bastard it was to complete the original on Dark.
Yes, I found the game somewhat of a letdown altogether really.
I got Kameo: Elements Of Power. Only played the first level but it seems good.
Also does anyone else have the sound track not synchronised with the visual track when watching dvds on the 360?

Not so far.
Just finished Call Of Duty 2 last night. Felt like a bit of a chore to be honest. I'd been really looking forward to it before Christmas, but it's very disappointing. It's a well polished game, it just that the gameplay is just utterly boring and repetitive.

Watched my mate playing this a ton recently. It is indeed a chore of a game but he loved it. He finished everything on Veteran difficulty. I actually sat and watched him do one single section for about 45 minutes because it was so hard.

LucasArts' recent silence by no means equals inactivity. On the contrary, Knights of the Old Republic 3, in development with Obsidian Development, is in the early stages of creation for a late 2006 -- most likely a 2007 -- release. The game should feature more seamless interaction between NPCs and the lead character, as well as better, more economic interactions between party members. We predict the combat system will go entirely realtime, as opposed to partially realtime (the way it was in KOTOR 1 and 2), and RPG fans will be able to enjoy more distinct shades of gray recognized by characters instead of the black and white distinctions made in the first two iterations of the series.
More Knights of the Old! Now thats a game I can look forward to.

Up to 50% on GTA Liberty City Stories now. Have just opened up Shoreside Vale, but pretty much abandoned the regular missions to try and crack o few more of the side quests. So far completed:
Car Salesman
Noodle Delivery
Trash Dash on all 3 islands
Slash TV - both difficulties
Karmageddon
A smattering of RC missions
A couple of Street Races
Love Media Radio List
68 Hidden Packages
Avenging Angels: Staunton Vale
3/4 of bike salesman
1/4 of See the Sights before your Flight
No Paramedic, Vigilante or Firefighter missions!!! Not for the want of trying

If you've seen one section, you've pretty much seen them all. There's no variety to the gameplay whatsoever. It's pretty much just all edging forwards while you fight so that enemies don't just keep respawning. There's very little tactics required. The only time things change is in a section where you get to drive a tank, but that's a rubbish level because all you do is point at an enemy tank, click, and boom, it's dead. Boring.

I enjoyed this game immensely, just what I wanted out of a WWII fps. The feeling of being part of an actual army was great and the only part of the game I didn't enjoy was the tank bit 'cause they're just shit.
Played a bit more of Kameo and it's a great little title, once you get past the first level. It's somewhat strange to just be thrown straight into the thick of it without any real story or anything.
Also I'm tempted to trade-in my Gamecube and DS seeing as I owe my mum about £100, does anyone know whether I'll make this sum of money with these two consoles, I'm also trading in Battalion Wars, Super Mario 64 DS, Zoo Keeper, Mario KArt DS and Nintendogs. Any info will be of much help.

Which Silent Hill game is "best"? I'm a big fan of Resident Evil (played 0, Remake, 2, 3, Code Veronica X, Dead Aim), so I was hoping to play something similar, or better. The controls look easier than Resident Evil, which is always a bonus.

I'm quiet because I'm waiting patiently for Oblivion. I'll be getting my 360 when that comes out. The things I've read about the AI and game world boggle my mind.
Aside from that all I've played in the last 2 weeks is a bit of Halo 2 multiplayer, Pokemon Leaf Green and Mario Kart DS. Got at least 1 star rating on everything. Took a fair few hours I can tell you.

There's not been many interesting games out for a long long time on any console. I'm in the position now where if I see a good game on a console I'd probably buy that console just to play it, but there's really nothing around on any system.
At least Everybody's Golf is still fantastic.

Hired out Gun yesterday and played it for hours, got it for another few days too. I'm really really enjoying it. I just love riding into town on my horse, and just riding around in general.
The story so far has been fairly interesting, the side missions are slightly annoying, especially when you ride into the middle of nowhere, gun down a wanted criminal, and before you can get back on your horse, the 'side mission complete' screen appears and then when it goes away, all the bodies and nearby horses have disappeared, stranding you in the moddle of nowhere.
Generally, I'm well impressed, BUT, I am about 40% through the game already and will probably have completed it by the time I have to take it back, which is good and bad. Means I won't have to buy it, but it also means there's no point buying it... if you get my meaning.

The story of Silent Hill is very interesting and hard to describe. If you like RE, then you'll probably like Silent Hill. I've read around places and everyone seems to agree that the first Silent Hill is the best, and if you don't play the first one, things could get a bit complicated while playing the others. I was freaking confused through most of Silent Hill 1, although the end cleared some things up that confused me. I'm probably going to start on Silent Hill 3 next since it is a direct sequel to the first Silent Hill.
The controls as far as I can remember were similar to Resident Evil, although I think that Resident Evil's controls are a little better if I remember correctly.

Try out Fahrenheit on PS2 for a modern adventure game. Multiple ways of doing everything and a fairly decent story for the most part.

Well, who really cares whether or not there's a Windows XP version, when you've got
ScummVM? This nifty little utility replaces the executables of all those classic, old adventure games that were built on the SCUMM engine -- games like Monkey Island, DOTT, Sam & Max, Zak McCraken, Loom, Simon the Sorcerer, Broken Sword, and others -- and allows you to use the exact same game data to play the games on such systems as Linux, OS X, OS/2, PSP, Amiga, PocketPC, and, yes, even Windows.
I use PocketSCUMM to play Monkey Island on my iPaq!
And Revolution has been kind enough to give the community free, downloadable versions of both Beneath a Steel Sky, and Flight of the Amazon Queen, so even if you
don't have any SCUMM games of your own, you can easily pick up two to get started.
