Baz
No it's only 1cd.

Though give it a few years and we'll probably see another version.

heh ok cheers

hopefully the 2cd version wont b released within 2 weeks of my purchase like has happened to me with Savin private ryan, spaced boxset, etc lol
Baz
It will be interesting to see what the R1 version of the dvd will have on it.

Is it normal for the DVD not to contain a booklet or chapter leaflet?
kenickie
Seems to be the norm these days. Bit dissapointing aint it?

Sure, it's one disc, but it is loaded with stuff. i don't know if I've ever seen so much stuff packed onto one thin disc.

However, given the 'cult' status of the film and the number of fans (as indicated by this forum) I would not be surprised to see a special editon sometime in the future. Especially if it makes tons of money in America. It's already made $7,000,000!

When I bought it I thought it was going to be 2 discs actually, I seem to recall talk of it on here ages ago. 1 disc or two doesn't really matter though, it's the amount of extras, and there's plenty on there I'd say. Simon, Nick, Edgar and co actually do comentaries that are worth listening to in their own right which is good... I tried to listen to Eddie Izzard (who I love)'s commentary track on his Circle DVD and it was SOOOO dull I couldn't believe it.
Dorf
yer i liked the commentary on the spaced dvds (original box set, im really not gunna fork out £17 for a bonus disc . . . . yet)

the commentary on ricky gervais animals was pretty good to

Did you guys (and gals) have the option of getting the white cardboard boxed edition? (a much better cover IMHO) I got it, and it was the same price as the regular version...

I got the "Amazon.com UK" exclusive cover. I haven't seen the white one.

they better not bring out a special edition! its bad enough with "spaced", i cant afford to keep upgrading! sad.gif

Yeah just the one disk but heaps of cool stuff on there. No insert leaflet or whatever, those things seem to be going out of fashion or out of existence. Shame really.

We got the Amazon.UK "exclusive" cover as well. What's the white box one like?

I love Eddie Izzard too. I didn't mind his commentary but it certainly wasn't great. The Shaun and Spaced commentaries are much more dynamic and interesting. Think it works better with a group really. The Red Dwarf ones are pretty funny.

yeah the commentries are as funny and interesting as the actual progammes.
i cant stand boring commentries, like they are only doing it coz its a dvd and extra features are pretty much obligatory.
hokum
for all you commentary fans out there you have to check out the evil dead triology. they are the funniest and most indepth commentarys i've ever heard.
even on the first film bruce campbell has his own comm track. it's hilerious.
Baz
If I remember right, the white box cover was a Virgin Megastore exclusive, then there was a HMV one, which was just a red cover, then Amazon also had there own cover too.
coolasacucumber
wots all this white box n specail edition things in hearing about! ohh god i knoe were all my stoodunt loans dissapearing to!
Marty
Are you real?

D'you think anyone bothered putting any on?
Have these questions already been asked?
