This one had slipped me by, but apparently there is an A-Team film in production,

You can find out more about it here.
madfish
very happy to read that they dont intend to make it too cartoony...

who would you like to see cast as the main characters?
Zoe
Ving Rhames as BA?
madfish
BA is gonna be the hardest one to cast and please the fans, mr t is such an icon as BA thats its impossible to imagine anyone else playing the role.
Raven
What's the betting Jim Carey will end up playing Murdoch? sad.gif
Zoe
You need a pretty boy for Face, Brad Pitt would probably fit the bill nicely. Possibly Steve Buscemi would make a good Murdock, but I can't imagine him going for it.

Most of the original cast are probably still active enough to star, except of course George Peppard (RIP). But then they never seem to use the original cast in big screen versions of old TV shows do they? Unless it's in cameo form.
Dorf
also i believe mr t is a little worse for wear now, prolly couldn't pull off the hardman role anymore sad.gif
Ade
I quite like the Ving Rhames suggestion.... possibly Samuel L Jackson...?
The dialogue may need a rewrite though -
"ahh ain't gittin' on no god-damn-plane, m#th@f#ck@" ohmy.gif

b) Okay, Jackson may not really be stocky enough... Michael Clarke Duncan?
Would be interesting to see how they get him onto the plane... biggrin.gif

And how about these options?

Hank Azaria/John Turturro/Adrien Brody as Murdoch?

Greg Kinnear as Templeton Peck/Face?

Pierce Brosnan/Bruce Greenwood as Col. John 'Hannibal' Smith?

Ray Liotta/Tom Berenger as Colonel Decker?
EasyMark
Yike. There are some movies that should just not be made.

I don't want more sweet memories of 80s television corrupted. mad.gif
Melll
I'd second the choice of Michael Clarke Duncan or Ving Rhames as BA, as well as Greg Kinnear as Face.

How about: George Clooney or Jack Nicholson as Hannibal

And: Will Ferrell as Murdoch.
Raven
Pierce Brosnan as Hannibal? Isn't he a little to suave?

I can see someone like Clooney getting it, but I think someone older like Martin Sheen should do it (although I can't see him doing it or being offered it in a million years!).

Some interesting info can be found here

Well, I thought of Brosnan primarily for his appropriately
toothy grin, avec une cigar... but yes, I take your point!
I can certainly see Clooney in the shortlist though.

But someone like Nicholson or Sheen, I think they might
be just a shade too old for the part (and I guess Brosnan
might be getting on a tad, too biggrin.gif)
I had also been thinking along the lines of Sam Elliott,
but again, maybe too old for the part.

And Will Ferrell as Murdoch.. yeah, I hadn't considered him ,
not a bad choice, Melll!
Rav
I really hope that they don't make it. It'll be horrible.

If they do make it then I'd like to see it more as a 'where are they now' kinda movie, with the original, surviving cast members - chances of which are slim and fuck all sad.gif
Rav
Speaking of the A-Team...has anyone heard the A-Team theme by Anal C*nt? Its heavy, but pretty cool.
Jollyjaffaman
Do you think they'll actually hit anyone they shoot at in the movie version? The original series should've been sponsored by specsavers.

Raven
I think I've read something in the last few weeks that said the film will be more realistic than the TV series was (the film won't be so much like a comic book, or something).
Jollyjaffaman
Thank gawd for that! Can't help the feeling that dodgy TV show = dodgy movie re-make, though. Why can't they just invest in new scriptwriters? Hollywood! Bah Humbug!

Erm, the A-Team is about fecking big explosions, bloody great big guns, running polices cars off the road, and big fight scenes
bongal
Has anyone heard anything about the new A-Team movie. Is it meant to be any good? I mean can it be any good given the fact that part of the great thing about the original was its tackiness.

It looks completely OTT to the point of hilarious. I'm looking forward to it.

Ooops! unsure.gif Cheers Gulfy.

's ok.

I'm dreading it's full release, as it will no trigger loads of Justin Lee Collins style 'wasn't the TV show brilliant? I ain't getting on no plane!' lazy nostalgia bullshit.
