I might see if I can bag a ticket for this Saturday if it hasn't already sold out.

Richard Herring If you know anyone in Kings Lynn can you let them know I am on in their town on Saturday - either they haven't realised or they don't care!
PrincessKate
Lolz.
I still need someone to come with me to see Pappy's Fun Club in May.
All my friends think they're shit.
Ade
Yeah, King's Lynn people don't care. Lucy Porter's audience last night was pretty lean too which was a shame, although it was still a jolly funny show.

eta: And no, I didn't go to Mr Herring's gig, for shame.

The comedy I saw was alright... for a tenner.
The MC & 2 of the acts were fairly rubbish... but the comedienne and the 'headliner' were great. I can't remember any of their names though.
bigfatrich
Ross Noble was excellent last night.
Zoe
I get to legitimately apply for promoter accreditation for this year's Edinburgh.

Free shows!

Whoop!
Zoe
Applause!
whitey
You'll be in your element. Also, that's some job you've landed.
Zoe
I am a lucky girl.

Do you know they have Lindt chocolate balls in their meeting rooms at Avalon? Because they do.
Zoe
All tickets are on sale now!

A tenner for two previews hosted in London's most beautiful new cultural landmark!? We must be mad.

I would love to see this. *sobs*
Zoe
Come, it's only a tenner (for two previews!) and I can provide free accommodation. The train fare is another matter.

If not, I'm coming to Edinburgh for a week in August, so let's go and see them both then!
Jon 79
I've booked tickets to see a preview of Richard Herring's Hitler Moustache. ....not the gig Zoe's advertising though. This one's way earlier than that.
Zoe
These are so late they'll be practically perfect - and at Ł10 for two shows you cannot go wrong.

I'll stop now.

(everybody come)

Sounds like a plan. I would love to meet for festival Zoe-based fun once more. Huzzah!

Tickets for Ricky Gervais' 'Science' tour in December. I have a feeling it's going to be good.

Went to see Bill Bailey earlier in Hammersmith.

Was the first time i've seen him live, very, very impressed!!

Me and a few mates hung around after beside the venue to see if we could get a photo with the man himself.

My mates had to leave to catch their last train, so i decided to give it another 10mins.

Then....he emerged, he was walking towards were i was standing.

Unfortunately he appeared to be in deep conversation with his friend as he walked past, so I froze and just smiled at him!

Damn i wish i could've plucked up the courage to speak to him!

Oooh well, had a great night anyway.

Clearly very raw, but very funny as well. You speak many truths.

Very, very much enjoyed it and only serves to make me ask myself why I've never made the effort to come to one of your gigs, since I'm so pissy about no one I like playing up here.

Good work. I really like the fireworks gag.

Me too. That one and the one about the racist girlfriends.

Bless you folks. "Can't take it back" is my favourite bit and a line I have annoyingly failed to do at every subsequent gig, although to be honest almost all of the actual break up/New Year stuff has since been dropped. Now it's a much vaguer bit about relationships in general.
PrincessKate
Well it's live, in a way...

Pappy's Twitgig in full

I'm particularly fond of the accompanying photos.

This. Funny and miserable. Slaggy toddlers huh.

Although do you have to come on stage to Miserlou? It's very 1994. Do all comedy clubs do this? Is it in the comedy club collective charter?

I also love Pappys too.

Michael McIntyre on sunday.

Nor me. I don't get him. Probably too posh.
Outatime
Sarah Millican was very good, really enjoyable. Richard Herring was pretty poor, he hadn't actually bothered to write any material. I'm also pissed off at the people who organise the Cambridge Comedy Festival, because it's not a comedy festival it's preview shows for Edinburgh.
Outatime
Just booked tickets for Adam Hills in October - woo hoo!
Zoe
Finally have my listings on Chortle

Two previews for a tenner in an unbelievably gorgeous venue - see you there!

That's just the timing of the festival. If it was earlier in the year it would probably be evenly split between bedded in shows from the previous Fringe and people trying out new shows for the next one. I'll be seeing Herring in Birmingham on the 9th, can't wait.
Outatime
I knew it'd be previews but it wasn't advertised anywhere so I should imagine a lot of people didn't know that.

Went to see Miss Millican's preview tonight and it was predictably fantastic. She knocked the fuck out of it. Essentially the difference between men and women for an hour, but to the highest possible standard.

BTW I was able to listen to your gig finally, thought it was great.

Last night was the final ever Laughter In Odd Places, taking place in the Museum of London. We chose to see Andrew Lawrence - the voice of Andy Parsons, the face of a paedophile and the material of somewhere in between; Terry Saunders - a rambling and amusing autobiographical storyteller; and finally Tim Key. I was very glad to hear new Key material alongside some he'd done before, the highlight of which was a list of animals...

bless you sir

We're hosting 'Chain Reaction' on Tuesday if anyone's interested in free tickets through the BBC website

We went and saw French & Saunders the other night.
It's their first and last tour in Australia.
I laughed until my cheeks ached.
Very impressed.

Three people at tonight's show at King's Place - an amazing venue near Kings Cross that I had never heard of before, which had a satisfyingly large number of people in the audience - had "Who is Virgilio Anderson?" T shirts

Oh yeah.

You I take it?

Wearing the t-shirts? No. Organising the comedy and running the venue? Yes!

Our first comedy gig was a huge hit! Whoop.

Good stuff. I just bought my first tickets for a comedy gig at the Warwick Arts Centre. Going to see Stewart Lee in October. I think I may go and see Daniel Kitson in November as well actually as he was excellent when I saw him a few years ago.
Zoe
I'm hopefully programming some comedy for next Spring/Summer so I'm making an schedule of shows to apply for promo tickets for. So far I've got

David O'Doherty
Anna and Katy
Daniel Kitson
Tom Bell and Ed Weeks
Jason Cook
Jon Richardson
Lucy Porter
Pappy's Fun Club
Pete Firman
Phil Nichol
Sarah Millican
Simon Amstell
Stewart Lee
Tim Key

Anyone got any other suggestions? I'll have seen most of the Avalon previews already.

And then convince them to come up here, that would be super.

I recommend Brendon Burns, I always do. And Dan Nightingale.
