And we got hang out with Andrew Maxwell afterwards and be regaled by his tales of "weirdly sedate" orgies in a Chelsea club.

Will possibly get a couple of tickets for the Sarah Millican one tomorrow, it all hinges on whether I can get tickets tomorrow morning to a gig which is on the same night.
Tickets for the gig are stupidly overpriced, and despite wanting them to reform and indeed having the money, I'm opting out. It looks like they're writing a new album, so will probably tour/do fests anyway.
Millican it is, going to get 2 or 3 later.

Zoe, not sure if it's my work computer being an arse, but the listings on the kings place website only go to March, though things do go missing from web pages here.

If you get Craig Campbell or Tony Law I could probably convince Vicky to do some kind of Hen night by proxy down there.

Turns out I've seen Nick Helm before, doing a rather different set that was mostly about VHS tapes and Rocky. He was brilliant then as well, can't believe I didn't realise it was the same chap.
Going to see Johnny Sweet on the 13th, Tim Key on the 20th and Brian Gittins on the 27th, all at the Soho.
Don't forget to come to Kings Place every Thursday! I'm always there
This week, Steve Hall (We are Klang), Tom Bell and one of my favourite MCs Ed Gamble.
Really enjoyed Steve Hall last night, and what a lovely chap.
Next Week! Tom Basden, which will be awesome.

Jonny Sweet was very sweet at the Soho last night. The company was also mighty fine, nice to see Adz, Smellz and Rory there for Tim Key too. Also in attendance were Hardeep Singh Kohli, Shappi Khorsandi and Rick Edwards (out rather late for a T4 Saturday). The Soho Theatre is clearly the place to be, which is good as I'm there for the next two weeks.

Not that sort of meeting, I tell them who I want, they talk about who they think would be good for the night and we start discussing specials and one-offs and the general direction of comedy at the venue. We pay them a flat fee to book the acts, and I'm the programming input from our end.
This happened over two pints and now I think I'm going to have to go beddy byes.

It's hardly great (in fact it sounds average) but it's free, and I have absolutely nothing better to do midweek, literally.
I'd never pay to see that, but the free (and lulz at Tarrant) make it tempting.
Yes, I live a sad life.

The description must be a bit tongue in cheek though. Tarrant = Legend??
Just read it through properly and it sounds like a re-hashed "An Audience with..." show, but with pisstaking.
This gets less tempting.
I'll go if I get desperate for a night out.

Is this supposed to be like the Comedy Central roasts? I liked them, especially the Shatner one.
Everlong
Feb 19 2010, 03:46 PM
I've not seen them.
I just feel like going to it as life is boring at the moment, I barely ever have spare cash and there's only so much staying in and reading/playing xbox etc I can do.
Even relatively lame stuff like that breaks the boredom.
