He had a new ending, which was even more remarkable. I understand why he didn't include it in the previews if I tell you it made me cry you'll probably guess what it was. He'll get famous off this show I think.
Also! WitTank at Kings Place on the 23rd of Sept in a sketch night special with Two Episodes of Mash (a double act including the amazing Joe Wilkinson).
Bring your brother - everyone bring their brothers, it'll be brilliant/
If I haven't already been whisked out of the country by then, I might be able to bring BOTH brothers - if I have already, I'll tell them to just go on without me. And the amazing Joe Wilkinson is indeed amazing.

It's probably a running Joke, but Richard Herring seems.. Bitter.
I know he had a couple of things to say about not being nominated previously, but he's gone a bit off on Twitter in the last day or so.
I saw Doug Stanhope last night at the Leicester Square theatre.
He's a fantastic stage presence, always enjoyable and occasionally hilarious. On another note it's almost heroic to see someone drink so much in an hour and twenty minutes and it not adversely affect their performance.
I've seen Johnny Vegas drink more on stage, but it never ends well.
When he's at his best, full flow, no-one can touch him I reckon. He rarely is though as he is a proper ass alcoholic. The fact he can still be so good despite the drinking is a marvel I sometimes feel bad about.

Anyone know if Doug Stanhope's touring at all?
I just booked my tickets for One Man Lord of the Rings in a couple of weeks' time, and Stewart Francis in November.
As far as I know Doug is only doing these London dates in the Leicester Square Theatre up to the 11th Sept in the whole of Europe until sometime next year. For 2010, that's it for Stanhope outside Canada & the States.

28th is Mummy's birthday, we may be in town for this momentous occasion. I don't think I would like to expose her to Mr Peacock, though.
You can see three great comedy gigs for only £4.50 each (online) at Kings Place this Friday
7:15pm – Tom Basden
8:30pm – Jenny Eclair
9:45pm – Rob Deering
I'll definitely be hanging around for Tom.
If you join Guardian Extra - they're only £3.50

Went to see Jack Whitehall at the Soho Theatre on Monday night as a bit of a last minute decision and I was really impressed. He had some great material and did a few excellent ad libs. Hard to believe he's only 22 with his confidence and manner on stage. The only thing I don't like so much about him is his splattering of 'Russell Brand-esque' mannerisms, which seem a little forced and not genuine. When he's not camping it up as much he's funnier. His stuff about Robert Pattinson was hilarious. Really good stuff.

If anyone's at a loose end I can really recommend 'WitTank' and 'Two Episodes of Mash' at Kings Place tonight (8pm, £9.50)
I saw both shows in Edinburgh and they're excellent. Everyone loves a sketch show!
Joe Wilkinson (Two Episodes of Mash) is currently being the funny one in 'Him and Her'.

I'm going to see a gig at Union Chapel on Saturday. Unfortunately, Chortle, the ticket website and the Union Chapel website aren't being hugely clear as to whether it will be just David O'Doherty or a number of acts on the bill. Either way, I am proper excited.

I've been wanting to come to Off With Their Heads for ages. If I've worked out my essay scheduling correctly, there's a very good chance I'll come to the one on the 21st.
I saw two sketch groups today, Toby and Beta Males Picnic.
I think certain members of the forum would particularly like the latter, but I recommend both.

Armstrong & Miller last night. It was brilliant, we accidentally ended up in the front row but thankfully the closest we got to audience participation was Alexander Armstrong as the dentist looking in Mink's mouth, Ben Miller's vampire calling me a "fair young maiden" and Alexander Armstrong shaking hands with everyone in the front row. Not sure how much longer they're touring but if you can see them I'd recommend it.

The highlight was his bit about gaming. I laughed and laughed and became tempted to get a Playstation 3.
