FUCKING YES! I got tickets to see Jimmy Carr soon, he's doing his stuff like a mile from where I live... which is ace.
Don't like him very much though, don't find him too funny, but screw it I'M GOING TO SEE HIM!
Alos he's meant to be quite small... anyone know if that's true?

I am going to see Jimmy Carr at the Fringe. Bill Bailey the week before, hopefully Dylan Moran the week before that and Ross Noble the week after Carr! My head may explode. Only 2 of deffo bookings thus far though.
Jimmy Carr probably would be small to me, since I am a lady-giant. Only men 6 ft and above are tall to me. I may have to pinch his cheeks.
Edit: I am not actually that keen on Jimmy carr, he is okay, I saw him last year and laughed my tits off, but he was first on, and all the comedians except the shit female one kicked his ass.

Thanks for the words folks.
Don't know if Die Clatterschenkenfietermaus are doing Edinburgh this year but if they are then go see em. Toby Hadoke's
Moths Ate My Dr Who Scarf should be well worth a watch as well, he's a lovely fella with a sharp wit and a disturbingly encyclopedic knowledge of Dr Who which he will no doubt utilise to it's fullest degree in his debut Edinburgh show. I'm going to a few preview shows over the coming weeks and I'll report in with my half-witted verdicts.

I did notice the Moths Ate My Dr Who Scarf when I had a little peek over the listings, as well as a few others. It is just a case of trying to convince my friends to go see it too without endless "Oh no, just some Dr Who thing" moans. Only three full days toplay at the Fringe really isn't enough, I may have to take some more time off at the start of August to take full advantage of living not to far away.
Edit: Die Clatterschenkenfietermaus are there. And the venue is in an awesome place, will be so very easy to "randomly" turn up and see a performance.
Thanks all.

Small as in short? No, he's average height.
But then maybe he wears lifts.

He's not particularly small. He does walk like he has something stuck halfway up his ass though.
I went up to the Charle and the Chocolate Factory premiere last year and saw him wandering around Leicester Square in a pair of sunglasses, but didn't want to disturb him.
Then on the way out of the 8 Out Of 10 Cats recording in March he came out of the studio door so I walked past him in the corridor. He seemed to have a lot of make-up on that time. A LOT of make-up. His face was completely pale and powdered. I know they have to do that for TV, but I've seen other people at a fair few TV recordings and none of them looked like they'd been dipped in flower.

I am now trying to work out some sort of timetable of events so I can fit in as many shows as I can.
Shame we only have three days to play with.
When I get paid I may book some tickets for a few and just tell the girls they were recommendations and see how many I can fit in.
At least the bulk of the venues are pretty close together by waking terms. The closer to the centre the better.

Blunder
We should have known how bad this would be when it was described thus:
Blunder is a new crackpot sketch show for Channel 4 full of dirty berks, silly sods and cockwombles. If you like goofballs and bozos then cop a load of this!
But we decided to chance it, persuaded by a reasonable cast of comic actors including Rhys Thomas, David Mitchell, Simon Farnaby, and everyone's favourite paperboy Tony Way.
I wish we hadn't. First off, the whole audience was treated like an 18-30 holiday group, forced to dance to YMCA, piggy-backing fellow audience members, and goaded into laughing like idiots at any old guff. Needless to say we remained stoney-faced and unimpressed.
The compere was Butlins meets Working-Men's Club all the way, full of inappropriate and unfunny pier-end innuendos, with the casual, unintelligent cruelty you just knew meant he was a dyed-in-the-wool, sexist, racist Jim Davidson wannabe. I really didn't think this sort of schtick passed as entertainment anymore, but the brainless proles around us were howling with laughter and gagging to be seen on camera.
Half an hour was all we could bear. We managed to catch the attention of a member of floor staff, and told her we wanted to leave sharpish. After one more dreadful scene we made our exit.
Feeling empowered, and experiencing a bond only trauma victims who have survived some terrible tragedy have, we had a few pleasant drinks on the Thames, before going home to bathe our brains in mind-bleach.

Excellent, of course. I have been waiting to him for quite a while now. The theatre sat about 40 people in a very intimate setting. He just sat in a chair, lit by lamps. We sat in the front row which made me literally only about 2 feet away from him. Again, excellent.
