Oh, and Widdy? Soon = Tonight.

I know, but I'm recording them so I won't have to wait a hundred years for the dvd release.
Omniscia
Oh, okay.

It snuck up on me, and I would have forgotten if it weren't for the glut of web adverts. I thought it was next week...
Omniscia
Too many questions, not enough answers.
thirtyhelens
You didn't think it would be that easy, did you? wink.gif

ETA: OOF...

Of course I didn't! But I had hoped they'd throw us a single, solitary bone.

And why's everyone so pissed off all of a sudden? That's one dour battleship they've got. Did they run out of contraband booze?
Punkass
Well at least the season started off nicely. Hopefully since this is the final season there will not be any crappy filler episodes. Also, very clever to use "frak" for censor bypass, but last night they over did it.

I was going to say there was a scene we didn't see where Tigh must have ducked off and drank the reserves once he had his revelation, but he was already in CIC at the end of last season. There went that idea.

I'll grant you that, everyone did seem crankier than usual. Then again, they did lose a ship and nearly get shot to hell and back by four basestars, so understandibly they'd be a little on edge...

Like Helens said, it's not all of a sudden, events were carrying on immediately after the season three closer which was a little more than tense!

I thought it was a good opener, and I'm not too worried about the lack of answers. I'm pretty sure they'll push the story on fairly swiftly now. As for that space battle - absolutely stunning! I've never seen anything like that in a TV serial before.

I'm not going to glance back over the 24 pages of what are I'm sure spoilery goodies but I finally cracked open my Miniseries and Seasons 1-3 box set at the weekend and sat down and watched the opening 3 hour.

Wow, now I get the appeal. I can't wait to get up to date. Just to confirm the, are there 4 Seasons and another feature length episode before it's completely concluded or is it still continuing?

The miniseries, three whole seasons, one special, and the fourth season just started airing.
Punkass
I actually met Kandyse McClure (who plays Dee) yesterday, and she says this season is non-stop action. So take that for what it is worth.
thirtyhelens
Awww, li'l Dee. She's lovely. biggrin.gif

Hurrrrrrr.

Watched the first two eps of series 3 over the weekend - I loved how they made Apollo fat and lazy. They're setting up some great cliffhangers and I can't wait to finish catching up this week. biggrin.gif
thirtyhelens
You're right on top of "Exodus" parts 1 & 2, Rache. The second parter has one of the most hhhhawesome moments in the show to date, a real Mal Reynolds-worthy bit of badassery. biggrin.gif Is goood.

Sah-weeeet. It seems to be shaping up to be a great series.

Certainly. But I don't recall everyone being quite so snippy at the end of season three.

It's understandable that they would be, under the circumstances, but it just seemed like the tone changed a bit too much between episodes, especially considering that there's no real chronological gap in between.

I'll have to go back and compare them again to be sure.
widowspider
I am looking for an evening of wine, good food and the 'Exodus' episodes from series three.

Hhhawesome.
Svein
I've set up Sky+ for Razor... even though I've seen it before, def wanna see it again...

Why did I just think of that "Sex Girl Patrol" skit from Kids In the Hall? laugh.gif Excellent.

I'm off work ill so i watched the miniseries yesterday. Good stuff. That gq site says season 4 is the last series?

It is - I think (hope) the idea is to wrap the show up in a satisfying conclusion.

Galactica 1980 was abysmal

You're gonna have to take it up the aaaassssss again, for the shaaaaahow!

Lord, I love that woman. laugh.gif
thirtyhelens
Sorry for the double post, but - Except for the fact that what just happened was actually foreshadowed in last week's preview (which was a huge mistake, IMO).....

Oh. My. Frakking. God.

sad.gif
Omniscia
I guess I didn't see last weeks preview, because it certainly caught me off-guard. Heavily foreshadowed in the show tonight, of course. What a downer.
thirtyhelens
Indeed.

And in other news.... Boomer and Cavill?! Yeesh.
Omniscia
Yeah. Woof!
thirtyhelens
I just watched it again on rebroadcast and totally cried.

PWNED by Moore.
Punkass
Yay, very nice episode. I was not very optimistic, but I actually have faith in this series.
Jimmay
I'm getting through season one at quite a nice pace. Two episodes at a time. Think I'm up to episode 7 now and Sarah and I are absolutely loving it. There have already been a number of times when I've been grinning like a twat when something good happens or close to tears when something sad happens and I can't quite believe how much I've connected with the characters in such a short space of time. I can't wait to see where the rest of the series go.
widowspider
I finally got to season four - only watched the first episode so far, but I'm really excited to see what happens.

Cooly!

I was quite irritated by these last two episodes of season 4. There was too much of the bad things about BSG - shouting, crying and fracking - especially from Starbuck, who I was just starting to like again. I also still find the Cylons complete twats, but maybe that's the point.

The reveal of the final model had better be fucking good too - because at the moment it can only seem to be one of three of the main cast; Admiral Adama, Roslin or Apollo. No-one else would make me bothered.

Prepare for disappointment, then... RM (or was it Eick?) has already said that the final Cylon is NOT in the Last Supper promo.

ETA: Although knowing them, that could be a deliberate misdirection.
Omniscia
Maybe it's President Adar! We could use a little more Feore on this show.
thirtyhelens
Well, I tell you one thing... no one would see that coming. (Except maybe you.) laugh.gif
Svein
I'm voting for President as the last Cylon... it would make for some beutiful irony!

Did anyone else notice this in episode 3 -

QUOTE (someone I know through work)
during the sequence where the Cavill’s base-stars turn on those run by the dissenting Sixes, you see them blowing up… and in the top left hand corner of the screen – and the starfield -  you can see…

…the constellation Orion.

Thus, BSG’s version of “Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion”.

That took me a couple of seconds to realise what you meant... Nice one, good sir!

It could be the Daggit!
Starscream`s Ghost
It's Jane Seymour.

Which would explain why she hasn't aged. And Dr Quinn.

Nothing explains Dr. Quinn... even the Cylons aren't that evil...

Perhaps they'll do this massive crossover, and we'll find out the last Cylon is, in fact, Rose Tyler!
