Simon Pegg & Edgar Wright: a cult comedy class on Shaun of the Dead
Since their smash hit Shaun of the Dead, Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg have been picking up celebrity fans by the dozen. Raimi, Romero and Tarantino have all spotted that Pegg and Wright are the UK’s most talented comedy-team since Monty Python. Here they talk about exploiting genre for comic effect, the joys and pains of co-writing, and how Brit humour travels.

I just phoned, there's like 70 tickets left.
I thought they'd be sold out, they've been on sale for ages haven't they?

The chat was awesome. So interesting from the perspective of aspiring writerdom. unfortunately Edgar was a little ill but he soldiered on...bless him. The guy interviewing works for the daily mail so, may wanna keep your eyes peeled as their was a photographer taking pics throughout.
Some really interesting questioned raised. Also talk of their next project....The Wickerman meets The Boys in Blue. Can't wait.

i went too-sat right in front.
it was really interesting but i bet they are really sick of talking about shaun of the dead all the time, constantly being asked the same questions.
i was so in awe of them but i did manage to chat to simon and get him to sign my shaun dvd so im a very happy girl!

We got there late. So rude walking in part way through but we tried to be quiet. I can hardly remember anything they said, but I liked the girl in the audience's idea about an action film with penguins. I wish there had been more time for audience questions.

I liked his reaction when someone asked the inevitable question! - 'Ha!'
I think he said he 'certainly wasn't finished' with spaced yet. Something like that.

They all three sat on the stage together by the screen, the interviewer asked them questions about the making of SOTD, and showed a few clips of the film on the screen inbetween questions, one was Penelope's death scene. (sob)
Then he let the audience ask questions, but there was only time for about 3 before the big boss man threw us out for overunning time. They were quite funny, but it was mostly serious Q and A. There were even people taking notes, ala uni lecture.

wow it sounds v cool. i like the idea of people taking notes and it being really serious, cuz quite frankly it should be taken that seriously.
cheers for letting me know what went on, think i need to move to london!
