Double post - naughty, naughty.

There doesn't seem to be much on the
Free Jimmy website, for a start.

Did I mention I'm not Norwegian?

I'm almost certain that you haven't. I assumed that 'MM' was a Norwegian surname.

For those of you whose Norwegian isn't up to scratch (for shame) it's an animated film about a junkie called Jimmy who also happens to be a circus elephant - Mr. Pegg's writing the English language screenplay, and I believe will also be providing voice talent.
There's a plot summary on the
IMDB (in English, I promise). It seems a bit odd...

Hokay.
I've known a few Norwegians in my time and every man jack of them has been endearingly bonkers. I'm going to take that summary as proof that the rest of the damn country is insane as well. Do you think it's because the alcohol's so expensive they have to get out of their trees on hallucinogens?

Ouch at the current story on the BBC website, or ouch generally? I'm fairly sure it was an inspiring human interest story when I originally linked there a month ago...

I'd say 'ouch' at the current BBC website. Instead of being an inspiring human interest story, the page now points to "Abuse photos soldier 'followed orders'".

I wouldn't worry too much - the story appears to relate to the plot of a crudely drawn cartoon rather than real life.

Jumbo Role
Pegg, Gents star in elephant cartoon
Simon Pegg and The League Of Gentlemen are to lend their voices to a new Norwegian animated film about a drug-addicted circus elephant.
Also in the impressive cast voicing the English-language version of Free Jimmy are Woody Harleson, Phil Daniels, Samantha Morton, Kyle McLachlan and Jim Broadbent
The film tells of how circus elephant Jimmy, kept doped up by his evil owners, finally escapes the big top for the artic tundra, where - after encounters with the local mafia and a militant animal rights group - he befriends a moose.
The film will not be released until next year, but there's a website - in Norwegian - at freejimmy.com

How very odd, sounds like it would be a laugh though. I wonder if Simon just showed up and said ''here's a list of my friends, stick em in there soemwhere.'' Probably didn't though since he would have found Nick a role.

Was wondering what happened to this film. Looks like the Free Jimmy website's been updated now. Although the release date has now been moved from March to December 2006. You can take a look at the
Free Jimmy Timeline with small clips and things.

Hi all,
I just found this trailer on YouTube. Apparently, Simon Pegg has written an animated screenplay, which also features his vocal talent along with Woody Harrelson & Kyle MacLachlan! It looks pretty full-on.
Check it out....

P.S. is Romantikk og zombier Norwegian for RomZomCom?
