Its very good...it has "Dark" Jackie...more emotional turmoil than slapstick (though there is still some in there)

Best of the year would have to be superlative Black Books 3 as Runner up and the mighty mighty Peep Show as the all singing all dancing winner. Take a bow Mark and Jeremy. You were the best.

Best Drug numbed film award: Garden State!
Kick in the Head
BEST NEW COMEDY:

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (absolutely sublime, and seemingly ignored by everyone)

BEST FOLLOW-UP COMEDY SERIES:

Peep Show (as twisted, sick, cringe-making and heart-tugging as ever before)

BEST FOREIGN-LANGUAGE FILM:

OldBoy (sorry Hero, Infernal Affairs, et al., this one was just stunning)

BEST BRITISH FILM THAT WASN'T SHAUN OF THE DEAD:

Dead Man's Shoes (funny, scary, poignant, gritty and very different)

THE 'SO WHAT?' AWARD FOR A SUPPOSEDLY GOOD FILM THAT DID NOTHING FOR ME:

HellBoy

BEST POST-CREDITS TREAT:

Collateral (well, not technically true, but I went to see it with my brother, and we stayed till the end, and as the credits disappeared, we witnessed the cinematic glory that is a screen burn! It melted and bubbled and the screen burnt to white. It was glorious - but I still have a suspicion it's just part of the film. Can anyone confirm this, or was it a real screen burn?)
