Mugglenet reports that the trailer for GoF will hit cinemas on May 13th, and will no doubt be on the net probably a few days before if the PoA trailer was anything to go by.

Looks like a good trailer. "Goblet of Fire" is one of my favourites but I am still put off by the fact that I watched the first film twice and just didnt like it.

I didn't like it either, but I watched the other two, and they got better, particularly the third. My only gripe is that due to the size of the books they will have to lose the details in the film. I'm a bit of a stickler for details.

The 2nd film was most acurate, but im tight to detailes too. I want to love the 3rd, and I do, but I always feel a slight pang of guilt when I say I do.
Anywho, trailer looks awsome, all me and my best mate want to see is the "Dont call him Vicky scene". Id the rest is balls'd up, we'd still be satisfied.....ish
Meah I think its gonna be the best yet

I loved the 3rd film, but there were so many small details left out that should of been kept in to explain the story better for those that haven't read the books. Like how Lupin knows how to use the map, the whole Padfoot, Prongs, Moony and Wormtail thing too.

May 9 2005, 01:49 PM
Yes, and the fact they cut the story up and mixed it about. One of my mates who i saw it woith (5th time) and had never read it was asking what the hell was that deer thing at the end...lol.
Oh and the fact that that sirius new of the map....and the fact griffendor didnt win the quiddich cup.......but the most important peron missed out was, Oliver wood!

I don't know, but they did! I was a bit miffed about that too, although I utterly loved the film. I thought Alfonso Cuaron did a fantastic job with it and the new casting was superb. I wondered if they will explain it in the next film - sometimes they do swap around explaining things.
Rupert Grint is slowly turning into my little brother, scary stuff.

Well the map does play a small part in the 4th book, so it may be explained, but I can't see it happening. From what I've heard of the 4th film, it runs like this;
Quiditch world cup/Death Eaters running a muck
Tri-wizzard tournament
Yull Ball
Voldemort rissing
Can't see them having much room for anything else. One thing I know that is cut is the S.P.E.W thing, but it is hinted at slightly. At the moment, this film looks like it's gonna have a lot of action in it.
A few more images from the new film. These were in the Sun news paper today.
Pictures may contain spoilers.

I'm loving the costume designers' take on the formal gowns the guys have to wear - very 19th century romantic, Phantom of the Opera esque! Plus what they gave to Ron is absolutely perfect!

I think it was in the mail today but there was a list of things in hp books that were mistakes or clever tricks (mostly 'mistakes'). I could make very easy excuses for them for jk. One of them that was listed i was thinking of recently anyway as i had finished book 2 yesterday, which was how could nearly headless nick take the mandrake potion if he cant swallow? Hows about a spary?
Yada yada yada
Not long now, I wont be able to read all my copy of book 6 like I did with Pheonix last time, I will almost certainly ahve work in the morning so ill have to go almost straight to bed after reading the first chaper at midnight

My favorite characters (apart from Ron and Hermione obviously) have alsays been Sirius, Lupin and Snape. Im really really interested in Snapes past and the relationship between him and Dumbledore. Aparently, according to jk, his Patronus would give Way too much away. Also looking forward to finding out what Dudley heard when the dementors attacked.
Its a well known fact now that jk makes sure certain things stay in the film (whilst cutting the story to sherads to make potter fans cry in pains when not in laughter and be understood by 5 year olds at times). Ive struggled to find something that could mean something, I have a few ideas but not gonna give them away. One thing that sticks in my mind is how Lupin describes what Harrys mother was like in the last film. It could have been overboard in the script writing but it sounds alot like lupin and her were rather closer than I imagined.
Im looking forward to all of it!
