Once I went on to Play to buy a £5.99 CD.

I ended up buying £110.00 worth of stuff!

Avoiding this sale is going to take all my will power!

I notice their category system is completely and utterly useless as usual. How the hell does Field of Dreams come under Science Fiction?

I've devised a method to avoid spending too much money in the sales. Buy everything you want beforehand.
Nonus Aequilibrium
I've got a better idea, give all your money to me, then you won't be able to spend anything smile.gif .

The Phantom
Mister Vampire £7.99. Marvellous.

Well my non-existent will-power has forced me to purchase five DVDs, amounting to an actually-not-too-bad £33. And they are things I really wanted as opposed to the ones you find yourself buying in Virgin because they're 5 for £30.

And that was only after looking at two sections. I've got the rest to go yet - hoorah! And my student loan comes soon!

Oooh, just wrote a reply and got disconnected so it if it comes up twice, I apologise. Now to reveal how sad I am:

I got both 'Escape From' and 'Return To' of the Witch Mountain Disney films because I love them! And 'Return to Oz'. Was anyone else really surprised to discover years later that it was Fairuza Balk who played Dorothy the second time? Anyway, I had the storytape when I was younger.

The other two were the Ultimate Akira and the animated metropolis. Yes, yes, I realise I am pathetic but I am very pleased with my purchases!

I think there should be a 'Play.com Sale List of Shame' where everybody tells us what they got so I'm not alone in giving in to the DVD-demon.

My dvd buying has gotten so bad a friend rang me up today asking what dvd i'd like for Christmas and i couldn't think of anything i want that i haven't already got. wacko.gif

Wayne's World £6.99! no, I'm stopping now. My computer can't hold a connection for longer than 2 mins, which is lucky as I'd just buy play.com otherwise.

OK, dagnammit, I caved. But only on Wayne's World and only because my video got wiped.
