SOTD (Well, obviously)
Van Helsing (I liked it, so there!)
Shrek 2
Dodgeball
Spider-Man 2
Although to be honest, I haven`t been to the flicks that much this year, the fact that me and the missus have been so busy with the wedding and strange work shifts has made it difficult. We`ll see what happens next year, I reckon.

It's pretty cool that so many here like "Dodgeball", which was besdie SotD the best comedy of the year. Rawson Marshall Thurber is really a comedic talent.

I'm not sure I've seen 10 films that have been released this year to be honest.
Of those I have seen I'd have to put Spider-man 2 at the top of the list but I'm not sure what I would put after that . . . Will have to have a think!

i felt fairly let down by 'eternal sunshine...' and i really wanted to love it because michel gondry is one of my favourite music vid directors. i watched it three times, and still felt unable to care about anyone involved. i can't even remembr jim carreys name in that film. it left me cold.
please let me know if there is a huge revelation that i missed

OldBoy and Shaun of the Dead are the two best films of the year. As for the other 8, in no particular order...
Hero
Dogville
The Village
The Incredibles
Spider-Man 2
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Infernal Affairs (the Asian godfather? Martin Scorsese planning Boston-based remake with leo decaprio and matt damon...won't be as good).
err...yeah i can't decide the other two so honourable mentions go to 21 Grams, Dodgeball, Zatoichi, Anchorman, Kill Bill vol. 2

i think my revelation was that a memory is a resource to some extent.
we erase people from our lives without realising it, or in the eternal sunshine case, by choosing to on the spur of the moment. by drawing attention to the fact that we often make rash decisions (that in retrospect we'd rather not have made) which then have long term effects; it questions whether we should be at all rash when it comes to being in love. whether falling in love or falling out of love - that has to be a gradual process. you don't know what you've got until it's gone. until you've lost it. until she walks away.
it's happened to me.

I have really gone off that film since I saw it. Sofia Coppolla, Bill Murray and Scarlett Johannson are all good at what they do, I'm sure...but that film was such an Americanised view of the world! Every Japanese person was portrayed as a screaming, writhing idiot with no grasp on reality...but don't worry! The Americans are here and they know more than these foreign fools! Someday they'll be set right...
...okay sorry i went a little overboard there. It was a well-made film, but too...well yeah look above.
